Turtling

Turtling

Hey,

I’m new to hanging. Was reading about turtling in past threads, but not quite sure what to do about it. What’s the best way to prevent it form happening?

I don’t have any fancy equipment, I made a homemade chicken choker and it seems to be working ok , however I don’t want to lose any gains I may make to turtling.

Any advice on what to do on a budget?

Thanks.

Turtling doesn’t necessarily mean you will lose gains. Turtling can just be how your body reacts to your exercises. It could also mean you are doing too much.

How are your other Physical indicators?

Initial: 7” BPEL; 6” NBPEL; 5.25” - 5.5” MEG

Current: 7-7/8” BPEL; 7-3/8” NBPEL; 8.5” BPFSL; 6.5” MEG; 6”x5” Flaccid.

Goal: Improved/consistent EQ while managing ED. Secondary: maintain current stats.

As an irredeemable grower, It matters not matter what I do, I end up with a button in a fur coat.

Hell, I shrink up in the shower.

I haven’t been keeping records, but I think I gained at least half of a inch.
I started with pumping but slowed down after I noticed my skin was darkening.
Then a found this site and learning whole lot.
Still very new to PE.

Take a few weeks off. Then come back and start with the newbie routine. That is my recommendation.

Alright, thanks for the advice.

Why does taking time off do?

If you are very new to PE, starting with pumping and hanging was probably overdoing it. Time off will help you recover from over training and reduce any toughening you may have caused.

Restarting with the newbie routine will help you ease your way into the exercises. It will probably help with growth more than pumping and hanging right off the bat as well. Most importantly it will help you to understand the way your dick reacts to the exercises.

Alright, thanks Andy. I really appreciate the guidance.

No problem Pats.

Keep us posted.

Could someone please explain exactly what the phenomenon of turtling is, or post a link that I can read up on?

Thanks.

Type “turtle” or “turtling” into the search function and read to your heart’s content.

Turtling is a natural function and is just shrinkage of your penis in response to external stimulus. Cold weather, a traumatic event or ejaculation result in turtling. After some varying amount of time the turtling ends and the normal flaccid returns.

From a PE specific perspective, turtling is cause by over stressing/over working your penis. As the penis becomes conditioned to PE your penis can withstand more activity before turtling will occur. To combat turtling, just reduce the PE activity until you find the point where turtling stops, or add more rest days. Rest means rest. No PE at all.

All activity impacts turtling. You may have had a wild orgy weekend and then wonder why your penis turtled after your next regular PE session. Your dick was tired from all the sex and needed some rest days to recover.

For example, a newbie might turtle after 50 jelqs, so he backs down to 45. After 2 weeks he finds he can do 55 jelqs without turtling after another 2 weeks it may be 75. Trial and error is needed to find the sweet spot.

I used to stress about this. I almost always turtle a little bit following a PE session, but it hasn’t hampered my gains much if any. About two hours after a session, I can feel it release and transition to a huge flaccid hang. Especially if I’m wearing my cockring.

Turtling is just an indicator that work was done. It’s only a negative PI if it stays that way for long periods of time.

Start: Oct '16 - 6.75" BPEL, 4.875" MSEG

Current: Oct 15, '22 - 7.875" BPEL, 5.875" MSEG

GOAL: 8" BPEL X 6" MSEG

Thanks!
