To Rest or Not To Rest

So I just started the newbie routine again for like the zillionth time. I’ve been doing 1 on 1 off, 100 jelqs, kegels, and occasional stretching. Sometimes I take 2 days off, but usually I just take one day off. Recently, my dick has been feeling bigger, fuller, harder, and has a greater erection angle. My flaccid hang has been ridiculous the past 2 days. So here’s the question, “Should I take a few days off to rest and wait for the gains? or Should I just still to the routine that seems to be working for me.” If I do take a break, how long should I take one for? This is probably just my 2nd or 3rd week on the new routine. Your thoughts?

How about just sticking to the newbie routine?

I’d just stick to the newbie routine, and modify it when you’ve completed it.

I concur with the previous posters. Stick to the newbie routine for 3 months at least, and then begin to modify it. Or if you truly feel your routine is superior to the newbie routine, then stick to YOUR version of the newbie routine for at least 3 months; then modify.


Started: 10-18-08 BPEL: 6.3 inches; BPEG: 4.8 inches.

Currently: BPEL 7.4 inches; BPEG: 5.2 inches

Goal: BPEL:8-8.5 inches; BPEG: 6 inches.

I’m not saying I think I should start another routine. I’m merely saying if I feel gains coming should I take a few days off to let my dick grow and not overwork it? But I guess I’ll just stick with what you guys said.

If you’re fatigued then rest otherwise carry on.

Ya if you feel a gain coming, take a day or two off and measure that shit to see if you did gain. If not, keep working. It’s your dick, not rocket science

I think PE needs continuity to be effective. Your 1 on 1 off seems to me like less than 50% PE, but you keep talking about taking even more rest days, afraid of overworking! We have completely opposed perspective on this…

You have already taken a lot of days off. If I were paying to grow your dick, I would have fired you. You have to be consistent, because consistency is the key to all of this.

I know I’m new here but I have made some substantial gains.. When I jelq everyday my girth stays exactly where it is. It’s not until I have one or two days before I notice an increase in size.

My theory is the harder you work it the more rest you need for your dick to recover and grow, bear in mind no growth will take place until it has recovered to the state it was before you did the PE and then some extra rest for growth. I believe if you work it properly you may need one to three days for the growth to take place. Only one way to find out. Work it every day for a week and measure the results, then work it every other day and measure results, finally work it once every three days and measure results. You should she the biggest gains with the 48 hour rest that’s what seems to be happening to me. Good luck!

This is absolutely true, that is my theory as well, I documented this years ago, but you have to be consistent during the exercising period. You must take some time off in order to let your unit repair itself. Taking too much time defeats the purpose.
