In two days I will have finished my 4th week PEing. I’ve read most of the manual and researched as much as I’m able to(privacy problem). My routine has been for the past three weeks 2 on 1 off 3 on 1 off. I cannot do the 2 on 1 off or I would have to be off 2 days. I’ve read that it is best to jelq slowly. I’ve read that 1 second strokes is best. I’ve read to work up to at least 500 strokes a workout. One day I got over zealous and did 3 sets of 400 with a set of sadsak head exercises between. On the third set of jelqing I was horrified to see fluid just under my penis head on the left side. It went away after about 3 hours and have since learned this might be the donut effect. Now to my questions. 1. Is this donut effect harmful or just a warning sign? 2. I have callouses on my left hand. Could this cause too much localized pressure? 3.Do long term jelqers still get the donut effect? Thanks for any responses. In case you want to know my routine is 10 minutes stretches(power stretch), 10 minute warm soak, 5 minute power stretch, 5 minute circular stretch, 10 minute jelq, 5 minute jelq and hold, 10 minute jelq, 10 minutes soak penis only.

The only problem with a donut is this: the more often you encourage one to form, the more often they will form in the future as you gradually weaken the tissue in that area.

Back off a bit on your jelking.

Sadsaks are advanced and shouldn’t be performed by newbies. Your problem comes likely from that exercise. Also let your penis get used to PE and don’t step into many reps of jelqs all of the sudden. Slowly increase the numbers. Add 50 every two weeks until you get to your final desired amount.

Answers to your questions:

1 It isn’t positive, avoid it when possible.
2 It might but it is more likely that you got it from something else.
3 Never got them myself

John! 3x400 jelqs is way too much for a newbie. Perform a maximum of 200 jelqs, each jelq lasting about 3 seconds or so. Slower the better. Also, while doing it slow, one tends to grip it very firm. Make sure you dont grip very tight( i mean very tight). Dont over do it. As long as you are sticking to the newbie routine, you shall find your dick in one piece.

Thank you. I only did that 3 sets of 400 one time. I don’t want to have that donut effect ever again! I did go back to long slow strokes and it hasn’t happened again. Also I will wait for at least three months before I try the sadsak head exercise again. I stopped counting the strokes as I’m concentrating on technique. Maybe I do 150 per ten minutes.

Yeah 400 jelq’s is to much to start with, 1 second strokes are way to fast that’s almost like masturbating. Like some others have said you should start with 3 to 5 second strokes and like I’ve always said it’s about quality not quantity.


Current measure ment 8-2-06 EL- 5.5, EG- 5.25, BPEL-6 7/6, BPFSL-7.25

Short term goal EL- 6.0, EG-5.5

Long term goals EL- 7 to 7.5, EG- 5.5 to 6.0

Today was much better, no swelling and a fuller workout. I will stick with the slow quality practise. Is it better to have a mentor or just ask questions in new threads? My goal is 9BPEL and 6EG. Currently around 7BPEL and 5EG.

Im glad you had a good work out. Posting in the forum will get you a better and varied response as different people have different experiences. So chances of getting better advice is more. Im not too sure if a single person can go a long way in adressing all your PE issues.
