My thoughts on the extender
Unfortunately I never kept up with this thread, but I continued PEing throughout 2012. Over this time I logged close to a 1000 hours with the extender over two separate stints. During this time I only gained a disappointing 0.125 inches in length and 0.125 in girth from sporadic jelqing/pumping/clamping over the last 3 months. The extender didnt work anywhere near as effectively as I thought, and considering the huge amount time I invested using it I am understandably disappointed. I have however gained .875 in BPSFL, but this has yet to materialise into significant erect gains. I tried every approach, many hours a day versus little, high versus low tension etc. It was only during periods where I incorporated manual stretching alongside the extender use did I see my stretched gains, leaving me to feel manual work was mainly responsible for growth.
To be honest I would not recommend extender usage. More often than not, on this forum and similar out there, many guys gain far less than expected with a surprisingly high number gaining absolutely nothing! Furthermore, it seems most big gainers used the extender very early in their PE careers or as their first stint into PE when any light stimulus will encourage adaptation and growth. Therefore experienced PEers probably wont gain with such a low tension stimulus. Whilst wearing the device is fairly comfortable, extending everyday beyond 5 hours daily is not, not to mention it is very inconvenient. Extenders are becoming incredibly popular on these boards, largely due to an increasing number of manufactures offering newer and more impressive devices, coupled with their good marketing and ‘studies’ (yes Im sceptical). The truth is, extenders are ok, but not nearly as effective as you think. Sorry to bash on about it but I would think twice about purchasing one.
Disillusioned I am packing away the vac extender for the considerable future. I would like to start hanging in the future. Hanging for me seems a lot less popular these days around TP, which is a shame because a lot of members down the years have made incredible gains using this method. If only I had invested my time and money this past year into hanging!!! Unfortunately I am no longer in a position which affords me the flexibility to do extensive PE work. Short manual workout are thus the way forward for me.
Not to dwell on the past, I have vowed to move on with a new routine, one similar to Mem’s. I will post a new thread for 2013 detailing my progress for a new 12 week cycle. If gains still dont come I will reluctantly accept a 3 month decon break.
Best of luck to you all, hopefully your 2012 ended in better gains than me. Here’s to a prosperous new year! :D
