More girth with jelqing

I have a little question about jelqing. I only jelq : ) And I want to get both grith and length. For grith I jelq when I’m erect, but getting more grith with jelqing wouldn’t make the portion next to the head thicker than the rest of the penis? Where should I post this to get more accurate answers?

The dreaded baseball bat effect, not thay i’ve experienced it but I believe caused by low erction level jelqing.
