Jelq Question

Jelq Question

Hey guys! I have a question about jelqing. I know there is the issue of the nerves on the top of your shaft getting damaged if you use the palm-down OK grip, right? However, I cannot get the same quality of grip using a palm-up OK grip. I don’t know if there is some trick that I am not doing right, but it really seems to make a big difference in the quality of my jelqs if I do it palm-down vs. palm-up. I was wondering if one possible solution to the nerve damage problem is to simply ensure that, in the palm-down OK grip, the top middle portion of your shaft is not being touched by the hand, that the pressure is being applied all around it but not down on it. It seems to me that this would prevent the nerve damage in the same way that a palm-up OK grip would. Has anyone done this or have experience doing this? Is this a good idea?

Any advice in general would be great. Thanks.

I jelq (well, jelqed) with a palm down grip. I never heard of anybody damaging his nerves while jelqing, although it can theoretically happen. Just ease up your grip when you are about 1” under the glans and above.

I would avoid an ok grip instead, don’t close your fingers on your urethra keep them always at least half inch spaced.

So, don’t wrap the thumb/index finger all the way around AND keep the palm a little bit off of the dorsal vein/nerve?

I’ve read the nerve warning several times on here and in the tutorials.

Also, do you have any experience with the JAI stretch? Right now that’s the only stretch I’m doing, 3x15.

I know. We don’t know how sensitive your nerves are and we have to make the worst hypothesis; beside that, the PE manual was written many years go.

You should press mostly on the sides, without pushing on your urethra; you shouldn’t avoid the dorsal vein just ease up the grip.

Hmmmmmm. Marinera, you’re saying don’t put any constriction on the urethra, but then how are you suppose to get a good grip on the penis without putting too much stress on the dorsal vein or the urethra ?

I actually did this today for the first time, really focusing the pressure on the sides. Was a very effective session. I had been trying to do a palm-up grip for a while, then took a couple weeks off and said fuck it, I’m doing palm-down and just tried to lift up a little bit and press in on the sides.

What about the JAI stretch? Are there any success stories using just that stretch (besides Johan, the inventor, obviously)? I like the idea of the stretch because I also have done that type of stretching for the rest of my body and found it effective. I can’t really find too much when I search for it on here though.

I’ve been doing a palm up, facing down overhand grip for a while if that’s what you are referring to. I’m kind of confused now because a lot of people sometimes tend to get the technique mixed up with a different terminology.

Anyways, I’ve stuck with that routine for a while and I see it’s continued to work for me with stretching. Why change something that works ?

My grandpa used to always say if it’s not broken, don’t touch it.
