Hey Mark, dunno if it’s OK for me to welcome you here, since I only joined a little bit ago, but I just wanted to say that I’m with you man. I’m ethnically Indian (and 21, too), and I went through the same “Asian Joke” thing; not too sure if the Asian thing counts for me, but at the time, I thought it did. You sound like you’re in a good place mentally, if a bit underconfident. Look, if you can bring your girl off at all, you’re doing better than a good many other men. I read your intro with both eyes (I sometimes read with just one) and it sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders, and don’t plan to push things hard enough to get hurt. Continue reading and searching and reading and asking. We are all here to help guide you and encourage you and if necessary yell at you when you try something dangerous before its time.

Be patient, it won’t happen overnight, be consistent and be dedicated to your goals. Take your goals a half inch at a time and you will see the end result, and she will feel the end result.

Wow. I have to say that I have never felt so welcome anywhere, be it in an online or a real life community. It seems like you guys are all supportive, understanding people, and I am ALREADY grateful for finding these boards, without even gaining any size yet. :)

Gprent: Jackson is my step-dad’s name. He and my mom raised me so I opted to use this last name instead of hyphenating it. Besides, and I don’t mean to bombard you all with sob stories, but from an early age my Asian name alone made some girls write me off as someone not worth pursuing. I guess early on I chose the name because of that, but nowadays I feel it’s just easier to write/say..
