Ice Bath cool down?

Ice Bath cool down?

Has anyone experimented with cooling down in an ice bath while in a fully stretched state? Warmth relaxes muscles, ligaments and tendons while cold contracts. Would cooling down after performing your PE routine in a fully extended/stretched state lock in gains faster? I’m talking about being under traction during the cool down so the ligs don’t have the opportunity to contract. I would have tried this myself but there’s no way in heck I could stand that cold! My apologies if this is discussed elsewhere but a search didn’t reveal it.

Well right now my routine is a hot bath warm up, stretching l, jelqing, more hot bath, (where I am now) and in a few minutes I’ll go jump into a very cold pond. I do the cold plunge for all the other health benefits.
I did just learn that I should not do cold plunges immediately after lifting weights. If PE is similar, that caution may apply.
Either way, I’m about to hit the cold water because it helps with mental state. It’ll probably remain in my routine, so I’ll check back if I learn more or can draw any conclusions from my results.

All I’ll say, is cold water therapy is really amazing for other things.
