The newbie routine isn’t just for gains. It is for what we call “conditioning.” Chances are, most guys have never had a dick workout. So doing advanced exercises in any workout is dangerous - PE especially. Once you do the newbie routine for 3 or more months, your dick is better prepared for the crazy shit we do here.
To be very, very clear… I have been doing PE on and off for 4 years and I <i>still</i> do the newbie routine. Why? Because it works. When I take many months off, I start with the newbie routine for 3 months and generally see improvement. Then (and only then) I start adding the other exercises that I have found work for me. I’m just again starting a stint to reach my final goal of 8x5.5 by mid-May and I’m not doing anything more than the newbie routine currently.
You know kline, onenekkidguy is on to some thing here. I haven’t PE’d in years, but when I did, I never left the Newbie Routine, because it is proven and it works. I alway used it as a warm-up before the more advanced exercises. I used the Newbie till the day I gave up PEing. Many here have seen their fastest gains on the Newbie Routine.
