Frenulum damage

Frenulum damage

So I’ve been PE’ing for a month now without any results, but I return to the forums to ask a burning question: I know we’re supposed to avoid griping on the dorsal vein while stretching, but what about the frenulum? I read another member named Retainer had “weakened frenulum” surgery and after checking wikipedia for just what the heck the frenulum was I’m kinda freaked out now because that’s the part under the glans that I grip the most while trying to avoid the dorsal vein.

I’m uncut by the way, which makes the grips kinda troublesome. I admit I’ve been using the glans primarily as an easy way to grip and stretch, but I’m worried now that this could be a very very bad idea. I’ve been gripping with a modified c-grip touching pretty much just the left and right sides just beneath the glans. It’s a solid way to grip for being uncut, but is it going to damage something eventually?

Anyway, my primary question: can somebody detail a grip for uncut retracted foreskin that doesn’t damage the frenulum, dorsal vein, or the glans in general? I know memento kindly suggested to me gripping with some cloth to avoid damage, but unfortunately that always ends up slipping for me.

I’m desperate for some gains here, but don’t want to ruin anything!

Perhaps you’re being too careful. Manual stretching usually doesn’t take more than 30-60 seconds per pull. An overhand grip just behind the glans will put your fingers at the base of the frenulum. Using talcum powder, toilet paper or a rubber glove can increase your ability to get a firm grip. You have to squeeze tight to grasp the inner structures or else you’re just pulling skin.

Thanks for the reply! So you’re saying it’s best to just keep the foreskin not retracted and squeeze hard? It’s more efficient that way, less likely to cause harm? I could be being too careful, you’re right, but I’ve been gripping directly under the glans for easy manual stretching for a month and do seem to get surprise pangs near the frenulum a few times a day. But maybe we’re resilient and that’s just “growing pains”.

Can anyone drop a line on how likely someone will damage themselves if they’re gripping right under the glans without foreskin over it?

Is the frenulum or even the glans itself easy to injure through daily overuse of that kind of direct grip? It wouldn’t just.. Er.. Start to tear off one of these days would it? Wow I must sound paranoid :)

Unfortunately, my foreskin was chopped off a long time ago. Retracted would actually seem the better way to reduce skin stretching. I’ve done manual stretches by placing my left hand, palm down, over my penis with the glans resting on the thumb at the point where the thumb attaches to the palm. I close the fingers around the glans and squeeze my thumb and fingers into a fist with the glans inside of the fist. I use my triceps muscle to extend my arm for the stretch and hold for 60 seconds. I pull up, down, left, right and straight out, then repeat. That’s 10 minutes of stretching. My hand does hurt, but my penis does not. At least not at the frenulum (what little I have left). I mostly feel it at the base, which is where you want to feel the stretch or fatigue. The glans is resilient, the dorsal vein is not involved, and the frenulum area is protected by resting on your thumb. There’s no need to twist the fist as you stretch. Just grip hard enough to hold the inner structures and pull away from your pubic area.

The glans is a separate part of the penis and is a continuation of the corpus spongiosum (the ridge on the underside that contains the urethra) which is where it gets its blood supply. It is attached to the corpora cavernosa (the main erectile chambers of the shaft) by a triangular ligament. You’d have to pull really hard to tear it from its attachment and you’d have pain before you did serious damage during manual stretching. Now if you attach a clamp or hanger of some sort and grip only the head, a strong (very strong) sudden movement could pull things apart. But most guys who hang weights make sure they leave little room for error to avoid serious damage by falling weights.

Manual stretching is safe and should be a part of almost all PE routines, IMO.

Don't worry!

I’m uncut, so here’s my advice. The GP once told our son not to pull the foreskin back to clean behind it every day in the shower because the skin was delicate and easily damaged by too much vigorous handling. I think this bloke must have been circumcised because what he said is a load of bollocks. Vigorous friction, pushing, stretching, pulling and squeezing is exactly what God designed the penis for: it’s what happens when you have intercourse! Compared with that, when you pull back to wash, however did that GP imagine you could do damage (unless you’re using sandpaper on it!)?

So, mate, back to your frenulum. I really don’t think there’s anything to worry about. Just carry on, but there’s no point in trying to grip and then tug with the foreskin covering your glans. You won’t get a good grip as we need to grasp behind the corona. I think you’d only damage the frenulum if you pull your willy in such a way that you stretch it directly and thus tear it (ouch! - this happened to me once, but from regular lovemaking, and it got better fairly quickly and hasn’t recurred; a different (more sensible) GP said it was just bad luck; not being in the USA, he did not rapidly recommend circumcision).

If you need more information, just ask.

Happy Christmas!

Peace to all

Dom

My frenulum got weakened because of a serie of fatiguing events. My foreskin has always been tight over the glans, and the glans often get sore by having alot of sex. Sometimes, after excessive periods of sex, the penis “reskin”. like a snake. :( :(

What happened, is that me and my then new, very sexy girlfriend had alot of sex. ALOT. I didn’t listen to my body, and had more sex. Then, in bed one night while sleeping, she moved her thigh in a way that stretch my foreskin all the way down. I felt a EXTREME pain in my penis. After like two months of not healing, one morning I decided to try manual stretching (Yes, I am PE addicted). When loosening the first grip, the first stretch, I noticed that the frenulum had burst and blood was flowing freely. Since then, I had a very bad sexlife. I’ve had sex, but it always get sore afterwards and I must wait 4-5 days until the next intercourse. I’ve been in surgeon queue for six months now, but 6: February 2006 it will happen!

But do not worry, manual stretching was never a problem before I sabotaged my frenulum. Just listen to your frenulum speaking. If you hear it say anything about pain when pulling foreskin all the way down, give it time to heal. It’s worth it.
I’m having a very hard time beliving that manual stretching can damage the frenulum in any way.

Westla90069, I’ll start trying your kind of stretching technique. Good stuff, although I’ve been stretching for a solid hour a day without seeing any gains after a little over a month of PE. You’ve been around for a while and gained just fine with 10 minutes of concentrated stretches, perhaps I should follow your advice here. But it’s hard not to want to put hours into this daily! I’m thinking of building a Wench for some hang time. So what you’re saying is, when wearing a hanger, under NO conditions should you ever do something like pick up and drop the weight. But it’s still OK to hang putting stress on primarily the glans, assuming you keep all motions gradual and avoid sudden stresses.

On a related note, is it really true that all fetuses start with a bit of tissue that grows into the frenulum with male fetuses and on female fetuses it grows into the clitoris? So that area is the closest thing we’ve got to the clitoris?

Dom, excellent advice I say. Glad your frenulum grew back and has worked fine; I’d read that they don’t always grow back as sturdy as the first time. I’ll be vigilant, but won’t let it hold back some hefty daily stretching unless there’s clearly something going painfully wrong.

Retainer, thanks for replying. Well, if it’s any consolation, you have a damaged but repairable frenulum and a hot girlfriend with plenty of great sex (or memories of great sex) whereas I have had no girlfriend for a depressingly long time, and a small (5x4.8) penis with one sensitive, fetching, comfy little frenulum. I’d say you’ve got the better end of the deal here :)

You guys are all great! Excellent posts, and here’s to all you PE elves for making me believe :gulp: :gift:

My gains were made using the basic Newbie Routine (manual stretches plus jelqing) with some vacuum pumping added. I do feel that jelqing gives more gains, but that stretching is also important. I’m not doing any active PE at this point, but when I was I put in about 90 minutes a day with perhaps one day off during the week. I got an inch in length and a half inch in girth from it. Probably could have gotten more if I’d been more dedicated.

Hanging stress should be on the tunica albuginea, not the glans or the skin. You have to have a hanger that clamps down tight enough so that the stress is transferred to the inner structures, not the glans. The same applies to manual stretches. You must grip hard enough to put stress on the corpora cavernosa and not the glans or skin.

No. Up to about 8 weeks the fetus for either sex has the same genital equipment. At that point the male fetus begins to produce testosterone and this alters the outcome of the growth in that area. The clitoris in females is equivalent to the penis in males, not the frenulum. The frenulum is part of the foreskin. Females have a similar structure called the clitoral hood, but it doesn’t retract in the way a male foreskin does. And while it may have a frenulum, it is small and doesn’t serve the same purpose as the one in men (which is to help pull the foreskin over the glans when flaccid).

Several years ago when I was having sex with a ex-gf I tore my frenulum on my penis, it bled pretty profusely and it didn’t stop for a few hours. It also took several weeks to heal to be able to have normal sex again, I am uncut and alot of the reasons why this occurred was because of the intensity and vigorousness of the sex and also because I was the only male in my family with an uncut penis, I was never trained or educated on the facts of how to properly care for my foreskin at all.

In fact the very first time I actually tried to peel it back, it hurt like hell and was only achieved thru gentle yet gradual persistent shifting of the skin to prepare it for being able to adjust at being stretched and manipulated. I feel many fathers of their children who are uncut should teach their child at a young age how to care for their penises and foreskin to prevent this.

The good news is that within time, my frenulum re-attached itself properly, yes it actually did break in two. The sensation is still their and didn’t require a doctor visit, but I still have the scar to show for it and it’s a lesson learned, as for the stretching and other damage, I would say that the most likely possible way it could happen would be that the foreskin was pulled back in an unreasonable fashion without the assistance of lubricant and too much friction.
