Hi all,

I’ve been off this forum for a while, but recently got back into it. Great to see this community still active and supportive as it was years back.

Starting up again, I’ve decided that I may hold off on jelqing and focus exclusively on manual stretches. I’m starting at a 6.5” BPEL and around 5.3 MEG. I’m not too unhappy with the girth (and will add this later), but right now wanted to focus exclusively on stretching and get to 7” BPEL. Also because I don’t quite have the time for jelqing yet.

My question really is this, I’ve been doing a fairly light routine these past 2 weeks:

- Hot Shower
- 10 mins manual stretching (BTC, up, down, side, straight out)
- 50 kegels (5-second hold)

Is it fine to do this routine every day? I’ve been doing Mon, Tues = On, Wed = Off, Thurs, Fri = On, Sat, Sun = Off

But now I’m considering just doing it every day. Should I stick to 10 mins or increase to 15 mins? My main concern is to ensure I’m not over-training anything. Currently my EQ is fantastic and libido is super high, so I know the current routine does not allow for over-training in any way.

My advice would be to slowly increase the duration and intensity of your stretching routine and let your PI’s be your guide. When EQ starts falling off you’ll know you’ve gone too far and adjust accordingly.

Since I’m at 10mins a day right now, do you suggest I avoid going daily and just keep the 2-on, 1-off, 2-on, 2-off routine?

Also, is it ideal to bring it up to 15 mins of manual stretching? 20 mins?

I’d try gradually increasing to 15 minutes of stretching, say over a couple of weeks time, but keeping the same 2 on 1 off.

With your routine I might rest 1 or 2 days/week. I’m not convinced that you need to increase your stretch time, as I think consistency over months is more important. But increasing your time, or stretching 2x/day could be things to consider if you don’t gain or if you really want to do more. Spend time warming up - that may even be better than stretching longer. I like to stretch under hot water in the shower. Good luck!

The general consensus is that rest is important. Nobody really advocates more than 5 on/2 off. I would start stretching on Wednesdays and add in some jeqling.


Why the Smithsonian? Because you could walk around it for a week and not see the whole thing.
