Against the curve

Against the curve

So I’ve read a lot of the threads on here about curves and the advice is often to jelq against the curve. Can someone explain what this means, with pictures or diagrams if possible?

I have, and have always had (as far as I can remember), a pretty distinct upward banana curve. I don’t have any hard spots on my unit so I think it must be caused by a short “cord” (buck’s fascia).

I don’t want to eliminate my curve entirely just to lessen it some. I’m on the newbie routine right now and have been at it a little less than consistently for a month now. I could easily gain a quarter of an inch by lessening my curve.

I generally do more of the reverse OK grip at a downward angle when jelqing than anything else. I also do normal OK grip at an upward angle.

What would be the best way to go against the curve while staying within the bounds of the newbie routine?
What can I do after I advance past the newbie routine to help correct this?

I did try to search multiple times but couldn’t find anything promising.

I’ll try to explain as simply as I can the principle of jelqing against the curve. Grab your dick pull it out straight, make a jelqing grip with the other hand and as you move it forward put pressure upwards. You are effectively bending the curve upwards and apparently over time that reduces the curve.

Obviously you don’t stretch your dick out when jelqing but just do it when completely flaccid to feel the upwards force. Oh and jelq straight out, that would probably be easier to put pressure upwards.

Thanks, that was very helpful.
