Hey all,

This is obviously my first post, and I would like to thank the members and contributors to this forum for all of the helpful information in here.

I’ve been lurking for a bit, and am a little bit concerned about my dick. I am 24 years old.

I have been doing basic PE stuff off and on for a couple of years, just manual stretching and some jelqing.

Before I get into my problem, I will give some background info here:

I rarely wake up with a full morning wood, I usually wake up with what I would call a 70% erection. (I have never really been a big “morning wood” guy though) This is one that is fairly bendable (not extremely, but not what I would call rigid either).

I have had premature ejaculation issues with girlfriends in the past, which causes me to be anxious.

I do not have any issues with my penis size, I am actually secure in that regard.

I work out a few times a week, and I do not think that I have testosterone issues.

I have not looked at any porn in a week or so, but I was certainly addicted (masturbating to it almost daily) for a few years (esp. Since I had no GF). I am going to continue on not looking at it, so I can perhaps “re-sensitize” myself to reality.

I noticed that when I sit, I seem to get a better PE pump, as well as better erections (as opposed to standing). When I am going for an erection standing, it doesn’t seem like I can get “rock hard” like I used to. When I am hard and standing, it goes rather quickly if I do not keep stroking it. Overall, my anxiety is taking a toll on my sex life, because I just got a new GF (who I find very attractive), and when we went to have sex the first and second times, I would have some erection issues. If I was being stimulated (by her hand, for instance) I would achieve a decent erection (but not as hard as I remember having in the past) but when it would be time to put the condom on in only a few seconds I would be going soft again. It has made me pretty upset, considering I want her so badly and yet my body does not comply.

The first time ended up working out okay, because after closing my eyes, relaxing my thoughts, and getting a nice blowjob while lying down ended up with me getting worked up, she put the condom on, rode me, and the sex was good (a nice 15 mins or so). But the second time (the next day) did not, as when I put the condom on and tried to go in missionary, I lost it again, had to whack it back up (which took about a minute while kissing her) and as soon as I was able to enter I lost my load..

At least when I used to prematurely ejaculate, I could get hard and the condom wouldn’t bother me, so I could just try again after a little while without many issues.

I guess my question is this:

I have never had any major PE injuries (only the occasional small red spots, and then I would stop and let them go away). What is the likelihood that I have vein issues? Does my lackluster morning wood, or my better quality erections sitting imply that? Could ALL of my problems be caused by performance anxiety? Would a little viagra perhaps set me right? How long should a man my age be able to hold an erection without manual stimulation? The thought of having possible vein issues at my age really pisses me off.

My thoughts are a little scattered right now, so I apologize if this post skips around a bit, but I’m just a little upset about the whole situation. I know if I don’t take care of my girl, she will leave me for someone else who will.

Call your doctor, ask if you could stop in. After some years on the market Viagra has a good reputation among doctors as being a short-term resolution for performace anxiety. If you explain that you have a lot of trouble staying up to achieve penetration and that this is bothering you more and more, he’ll probably give you a sample pack of V. Take it a few times and you’ll get your confidence back, then you can store the rest somewhere as a “security blanket.” A lot of us get very anxious with new partners, especially if we’re really attracted to them. The moment when you have to pause to put the condom can throw things off but on Viagra you’ll be able to take all the time you need.

Tell him also about the issue of standing versus prone erections. This is a fairly common phenomenon. Some guys even have trouble getting really hard when they are lying on either their left or right side. No problem on one side, but a problem on the other. Some guys only have an issue when they stand. What’s that about? Difficult to say but in your case it might or might not factor in to the fact that your waking erections are usually weak. Maybe a venous problem, but also maybe not. There are easy ways to check that out.

You sound a lot like me, except my erections are stronger standing then lying back. For me, my erections are weird. Like, my dick will stay hard with nothing touching it, as long as I am touching a girls breasts, vagina etc.it really arouses me. Or, of-course if I have manual stimulation. However, if I am in a sexual situation and all physical stimulation ceases my dick will go down quite quickly, losing it angle in around 10 seconds.

I don’t know if you’d be interested and I’m sure you would much rather fix this ‘problem’ (As I desperately want to) but you could temporarily try a cock ring, they work great for me.

Well, I’m sure you masturbate sitting down. Erections and sexual arousal have more to do with the brain than anything else (unless you are injured or have testosterone issues). I’ve noticed that when I watch a lot of porn, I have trouble getting it up without it (unless I’m with a woman). When I cease to watch porn and try to use my imagination, it gets tough until I keep practicing. Soon I can get it up with thoughts more often. My suggestion would be to start masturbating standing up watching porn. After a while try masturbating standing up not watching porn. Start using lighter and lighter touch when masturbating. Try walking around the house and keeping your hard on up. Just keep doing different things instead of the same old routine. Your confidence should build slowly if you are able to do this.
