low fat diet and libido?

Hey!

I’m currently on a low fat diet and have noticed that my libido is low, is there someone who can tell how much fat the body need to keep the libido high? (My weight is 161 lbs / 73 kilograms)

How much fat do you consume daily to keep a healthy libido? :)

You need fat in your diet the same way your car engine needs oil to run. Just like your car, your body needs the proper fats to run efficiently.

The fats to avoid are saturated and trans fats. The fats that are good are mono and polyunsaturated fats. Oils that are particularly good for your health are fish oil, olive oil and coconut oil.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

It is also a good idea to get a lot of your fat from the unprocessed source. When you take the oil out you leave a lot of good stuff behind, and make it easier to over consume. Eating a handful of walnuts is better than using walnut oil, for example.

Thanks for replying.

I just wonder how much gram of fat in the diet that is optimal? I’ve had read that they who consume like 100 gram of fat in their diet have a very high libido.

I’m planning on adding one tablespoon of flaxseed oil and one ounce of almonds in the diet (about 28 gram of fat and 350 calories).

Any suggestion is appreciated :)

Try a low carb instead of low fat diet. Something like a low-carb paleo diet could do your libido wonders.

You also need carbs for the hormones to be at optimum levels.

Moderate carb + moderate fat + moderate fat = win situation

You need fat’s for skin and hair health. Plus testosterone. Do at least 75 G of good fats per day. If your going to cut cals, take it out of carbs.

All body hormones are produced from cholesterol.. Cholesterol comes from fatty foods. Yes the liver can produce some on occasions however those on statins etc. may find themselves short.

i mistyped i was going to say moderate fat + moderate carb + moderate protein

technically this means 33 % calories in 1 day should come from each source mentioned. But if you don’t want to invest time in measuring quantities and counting calories, just try to eat low-fat meats, eggs ,nuts and plenty of vegetables . Simple as that.

Leangains.com…intermittent fasting. Workout and cycle high carbs/low fat on rest days and high fat/low cards on workout days. Extremely effective for fat loss.

I don’t mean a ketogenic diet. I mean something like 50% fat, 25% protein, 25% carbs, or something like that.

kallea, you definitely don’t need fat or weight loss and you don’t need specialty diets. What you need is a healthy balanced lifestyle eating program that is natural to maintain for the rest of your life.

Yes. I intermittent fast…and I always will. I eat a healthy, well balanced diet. By incorporating a leangains type protocol, I’m able to maintain a healthy body weight year around—while maintaining strength levels.
