Can COVID-19 cause lasting erectile dysfunction?

This is now the topic of some discussion among doctors and health experts as they try to better understand the effects of the coronavirus. The problem has been observed in some patients, but experts agree more study is needed to form any conclusions.

Some men are coming into doctors’ offices saying erectile dysfunction has occurred following a COVID-19 infection, said Dr. Ryan Berglund, a urologist at the Cleveland Clinic. At the moment, there’s primarily anecdotal evidence, and “we don’t know the scale of the problem at this point.”

Berglund stressed that it had not been proved that COVID-19 causes erectile dysfunction.

I believe in this so far. Covid fucks up our bodies beyond just loss of smell/taste and breathing problems. The viral cells actually get into the body tissue and fuck it up. That’s why the docs and scientists worried us about “viral load” and how being around people with Covid for longer periods of time meant someone breathing in all that virus was bringing more viral cells into their body, which makes Covid worse. I have a friend who got Covid July 2020 and he still has gets a little winded going up and down stairs, and he’s in insane physical condition and is a firefighter. Totally fine before Covid, trouble afterwards. Penis health is tied 1:1 to body and blood flow health. While ED is yet another “symptom” of Covid, I gotta believe in this stuff because the virus is so downright nasty and hurts humans in insane ways.

Starting length, Spring 2003: bpel 6 3/8", bpfsl ~6 1/2", flaccid ~3-4" (never measured flaccid stretched or hanging flaccid; starting girth was probably ~5"-5 1/4")

Summer 2004: bpel 7 7/8", bpfsl 8 1/8", flaccid ~4", erect girth 5.3"

Spring 2018: bpel 7 1/4", bpfsl 7 5/8", erect girth 5 1/8"; Spring 2020: bpel 7 3/4", bpfsl 8", erect girth 5 3/8". Current - August 2023: bpel 7 3/4", bpfsl 8", erect girth mid shaft 5 1/4" (5 1/2" at base)

I don’t think it would be responsible to even suggest covid can cause ED without facts and there are none.

It’s possible but we need a scientific study to confirm it’s potential. However, anecdotal evidence suggests a study is warranted.

Start 11/09 BPEL: 5.5", EG: 4.4"

Current. BPEL: 6:4", EG: 5.5"

It’s looking more probable the Covid 19 variant was man made. As such I would expect it to have nasty side effects, including possible ED issues and who knows what else. That being said I acknowledge that the current administration is going to continue instilling fear because it suits their agenda. Just my two cents…

Start 8/1/2019: BPSFL 5 7/8", BPEL: 5 3/4", girth: 4 3/8"

9/1/2021: BPSFL 6 7/8", BPEL: 6 1/2", girth: 5 3/8"

Goal: 8x6
