my supplement regimen and fatigue?

I have been feeling really tired lately, and I can’t attribute it all to a bad nights sleep so Im wondering if maybe my supplement regimen is responsible.

I have been taking Lysine whatever the standard dose is, and L-Arginine either 1 or 2g per day. I also take a multi vitamin daily and zinc a few times a week (not every day).

This is a regiment I’ve followed for about 8 weeks or so.

I can’t think of any recent changes to my routine, although I’ve recently been doing slightly more weights at the gym (just like adding an additional set here and there to my standard workout, nothing major), and have been consistently doing cardio the entire time as well.

Has anyone experienced prolonged use of Lysine and Arginine that caused fatigue? I am tempted to stop the supps to see if that changes anything, but I don’t want to interrupt them unnecessarily either, since the amino acids take a while to build back up.

Are you drinking enough water? it makes a huge difference especially when loading your system with additional arginine.

Not sure - I drink enough so that I have to pee about every 90 minutes, figured that was about right. And that it doesn’t get really yellow, more pale. but maybe thats not enough?

Sounds like you need more sleep perhaps? If you are lifting and doing cardio pretty regularly, you’ll feel dead without a good amount of rest.

Yah, thanks for the response. I think it might just be the sleep. I might just need more than before.

None of those supplements should sap your energy. It seems either not enough food or not enough sleep is the culprit here. Regardless, its always a good idea to cycle off supplements every so often.

Don’t cycle off. Your body is trying to utilize new shit, give it time. Took me 3 months to feel normal, and now I feel great!
