Arginine and Premature Ejaculation

Lately I’ve been eating a ton of cucumbers for the Arginine content. I was hoping this would be more effective than supplementing with arginine, but it hasn’t been any different. Whenever I eat a lot of arginine, I get rock hard easily, though my erection is so tight it’s longer than usual but slightly thinner. This effect is awesome, but I also get a ready-to-come itchy sensation in my penis almost immediately upon starting intercourse, and ejaculate prematurely. I’ve also noticed that my asshole tenses up constantly. This is probably contributing, as I’m tensing up the ejaculatory muscles. I’m curious if anyone has had similar effects, and whether they eventually got used to the effects and were able to last as long as usual with the added erectile quality? The erections are awesome, but I can’t be busting in 4 seconds. I might be able to combat this by smoking marijuana (which relaxes my smooth muscles and lets me choose when to come without the arginine), but I don’t want to have to do that every time.

I’ve taken arginine for years and never noticed any correlation between taking it and ejaculating. It doesn’t make me come sooner and I don’t think it delays orgasm either.

I have had no problem with L-Arginine and premature ejaculation.

However I have noticed this, maybe this is what you are feeling.

Normally I do not produce much pre-cum. On the other hand if I supplement with Alpha-Ketoglutarate (AAKG), I will produce a lot.

So much so that as soon as I get hard, I can almost feel my cowper’s gland “switch on” and there is a feeling of fluid being released.

Maybe something similar is happening to you.

I take L-Arginine supplements and also eat a ton of cucumbers. I didn’t realize they had L-Arginine just like them and help fill me up. I’ve never suffered from ejaculating prematurely nor do I feel that supplementing with L-Arginine has helped me cum faster.

I wouldn’t rely on smoking marijuana to resolve the issue. Not because I’m anti-drug cause I smoke pot just don’t think it’s a good idea. Why don’t you just stop L-Arginine intake and see what happens.

I don’t think you should rely on marijuana either. I think your best bet at learning ejaculatory control is through edging.

If you can learn to go 30 minutes with out ejaculating then you will be able to last as long as you want.

Here’s the cliff notes version:

Try to stimulate yourself for 30 minutes with out ejaculating. Get close to Point of No Return (PONR) (when it is inevitable you are going to blow a load) about 5 times during the thirty minutes. Stop stimulating yourself, or change the stimulation, or kegel so that you do not cum. Then resume stimulating. Once you’ve reached 30 minutes, reward yourself by ejaculating.

If you end up ejaculating before the 30 minutes is up, just enjoy it. And better luck next time.

Don’t use porn - the point here is to learn the signs that you are about to ejaculate, so you need to focus 100% on your own sensations. If you want to use porn to get hard, that’s ok. But once your are erect, TURN IT OFF.
