Anti-estrogens recommendation

>Cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower and brussel sprouts are also supposed to reduce estrogen.

DIM pills mentioned in the first post are that in concentrated form. The intent was to pop a few pills instead of eating a heap of broccoli. DIM doesn’t have a significant impact on estrogen. Nor does chrysin.

hobby,

What do you mean? This is an OTC product. Can you please explain what you mean, I’m not an expert in this stuff. Thanks.

PD: always using a correct dose

No, it should not be toxic to the liver since it lacks alkylation in the 17-carbon position. It would not have negative effects on testosterone production.

Thanks for your help Gold.

I’ll go for it!!

ALRI Restore is the best product for hormone re-balancing / regulation. An all-in-one kinda pill :)

Keep in mind, I am giving suggestions in my best conscience to the best of my knowledge. I can’t vouch for anything I’ve said as pure fact.

I don’t think DIM so much reduces estrogen as it helps the body to metabolize it to the more beneficial estrogens, i.e. you’ll have less E2 (estradiol) and more E3 (estrone).

Zinc has anti-aromatase properties, especially in zinc deficient males (many of us are as we lose alot of zinc when we ejaculate).

I take ZMA which is a “proprietary” zinc and magnesium formulation (magnesium is good for you, too), but you can get the same effect taking zinc by itself or even your own combination of Zn/Ma (30mg:450mg).

I take the ZMA only when I can find it cheap.

I don’t think zinc is involved in the aromatase reaction. More likely, it is involved as a cofactor in the conversion of androstendione into testosterone.

from: Zinc in Health and Nutrition: Benefits, Uses, Sources, Side Effects, Dosage

"Zinc, Testosterone and Men’s Health

Zinc also inhibits the aromatase enzyme, that allows conversion of testosterone into excess estrogen. The testosterone to estrogen ratio in men declines with aging from a high of about 50:1 to half of that, or even a low of 10:1. Higher estrogen activity results in increased risk of heart disease, weight gain, and obesity."

Lots on the web about this. Google "zinc + aromatase"

The problem with Zinc is that is can also increase Test production, which ultimately leads to increased estradiol production.

NONE of the OTC supplements are worth a damn for TRUE estrogen manipulation - if they were - they would be script only.

Arimidex as an AI
Nolvadex…for estrogen “mop up”.

Chasteberry for Progesteronic issues.

Thanks for the link, but I’m still not convinced. That source is pretty questionable and lacks references.

Epistane by IBE Nutrition is a pretty solid over the counter product.

Nolvadex is an estrogen blocker, it doesn’t have any estrogen reducing properties. It was used by women in order to prevent further spread of breast cancer. It is also used by bodybuilders to block estrogen receptors while thier natural testosterone comes back to prevent “bitch tits”. Clomid was first used as a fertility drug for women. It has been found to increase Lutenizing Hormone in males which is a precursor to testosterone.

6-oxo is a good estrogen blocker and its legal. Stick with it for a few months though to notice a difference. Hope I have helped.

Hi guys;

After a few weeks experimenting with 6-OXO I would like to give positive feedback on it.

I’d rate it a 5 star product: not expensive, works even using the lowest dosage, stopped breath tenderness, increased libido. I used one pill a day (while the recommended dosage for bodybuilding are 3 pills a day) cycling 5/2 and it worked absolutely. I give a 10!

Thanks Gold!
