A question on L-Arginine

I have heard many conflicting things, which is why I feel the need to make another thread on the topic.
I am assuming that these timings are roughly correct.

It is best to take a dosage 3 hours after the last substantial amount of protein was consumed and 1 hour before once again a form of protein is ingested.

I would appreciate it if the readers of this thread would indicate whether they agree/disagree with my above comment.

I don’t think, but am not sure, that the one hour edict before protein is critical. It seemed to me that the L-a is pretty quickly absorbed; it’s only that taking it on an empty stomach is much more effective so maybe allow a half hour of no food (after L-a) then go ahead and eat.

Worked best for me three times a day: On waking, late in the day yet well before dinner, then again at bedtime, a couple hours after eating.

There is a feature of L-a that I don’t understand but do appreciate. In my case it increased ejaculate volume significantly when I took it regularly for well over a year. I stopped taking it altogether and my ejaculate volume did not decrease; has remained high for several months now.

I pretty much agree with both of you guys with one side note. If your last meal before the L-Arginine is a quick digestion protein or meal replacement might this shorten the time?


Running a Massive Co-Front.

I am right now taking L-arginine with whey protein, but I have never thought it could be bad. I have took it purely, but it tastes like shit, so I prefer taking it with whey protein. I haven’t noticed any difference between these two methods.

Simply dissolving it in water (although I did 3:1 of L-Arginine : Lysine on HCl basis) and drinking it, followed by a good glass of pure water usually suffices.

Besides you get used to its taste pretty quickly, so no problem there :)

L-Arginine and L-Lysine do not agree together.

I didn’t say L-Lysine, but Lysine-HCl ;)
Anyways why wouldn’t they go together (in case both of them are present in only non-sufficient quantites AKA produced by the body and normal food intake) ?

IIRC this was one of the formulas floating around on the boards here.

The four months I tried L-Arginine, I would take 5grams in the morning and another 5 grams at about 10pm. I would buy those little 8 oz. bottles of Welch’s Grape Juice and put the L-Arginine in there and shake it up real good. Suprisingly enough the result would be a kind of neutral taste.
