Chinese NIR pad: Initial measurements

12

I received the second pad.

It has only one setting, both wavelegths at maximum power.

The irradiance meter measurements:

660 nm + 850 nm, 0 cm distance: 150 mW/cm2
660 nm + 850 nm, 1 cm distance: 18 mW/cm2

The spectrum sensor overflows at 850 nm wavelegth when setting the same distance as with the first pad (10 cm), so I tried to find the sweet spot where it gives the maximum reading without overflowing, which is around 20 cm.

The energy ratio between 860 and 650 bands looks significantly higher on the second pad (7:1) compared to the first pad (2:1).

Keep up the great work!! Love it

Stop setting goals, set objectives without limitations.

5.5 NBPEL Start~~ 5.7 NBPEL- 2011 ~~ 5.75 NBPEL/ 4.25 EG 2012 (Stop 11 years- Started again 4/2023 same stats as 2012)

6.2 NBPEL / 6.7 BPEL / 4.5 EG (5 EG w/ C-Ring) / Grower 4 FL - 12/2023 ~~ (Objective 6.75 NBPEL / 7.25 BPEL / 5.5 EG & Solid EQ)

I tested one of the leds I got from RS, driven with 40 mA.
174 mW/cm2
They are 100 mA rated, so it should be possible to get around 400 mW/cm2.

The downside, they are just 850 nm.

Have you considered testing the heating pad from totalman? Its described as an infrared heating pad with wavelenghts of 450-850nm.

Both links provided tell me they are not available for my area. This makes no sense.

Serious starting point: Nov. 2, 2009/BPEL 5.75 x 4.75 inches.

Current BPEL 7 1/2 x 5.5 inches.

Goal: BPEL 8 x 6 inches. Hell, if I hit 8, I'm going for 9!

Sorry I have been away for some time.

What links are you referring to?

Ah the pads from Aliexpress.

Not sure why

I presume you’re in the US as well?

This makes me wonder if it’s due to the plug or if they truly don’t want the US having better products. I know that may sound stupid, it I honestly believe we only get crap here.

Just to clarify. Does this mean that this pad is good?

This is what solvay said:
"Usually you want emitting power >150 mW/cm2, which gets focused on the penis when you wrap the pad around it.
I wouldn’t go <100 or >250, even if the latter is more a safe scruple - I have no specific data to support it yet."

Is this drop off of the emitting power too high? I cant really wear it at 0 distance, there is 1-2cm distance between the pad and my skin and thats how solvay said he was wearing it too.

Question. I’ve been out of the game for a while, do you think the NIR pad is any better than the heat pad? Which do you feel would get better gains in your opinion.

totalman had poor NIR specs based on feedback from Solvay in this thread

Why Near Infrared is better than FIR and US

Sorry, I can’t recall exact page (it’s got 22 pages ….)
