Hello people!

I’ve been jelqing since last August doing the newbie routine, I think I do the exercises properly and I always try to focus on the jelqing itself and I kegel at almost every stroke. I also prefer to stand for a bit of extra pressure. I did have some layoffs during this time because of school and work which would add up to three weeks I guess. But that wasn’t a stretch of three weeks. I also bought a bathmate fairly quickly that I use to warm up first and I pump (not too hard) at the end of a session for about 10 min or so. But since august I have gained nothing, no girth no length and no erection improvements. I would have liked to see at least something by now for the time I have put in. I don’t know what the best thing is for me to do. Should I continue with the newbie routine until I start gaining or go heavier? Or stop for a while and start over again? The time I spend per session now is about 45 min and I would like to keep it at around that. I just don’t have the time to do more per day and still have a somewhat normal life and be well rested. What would you recommend?

The newbie routine is meant to get you conditioned to then move on to more advanced stuff. It is not uncommon to gain at least ½” doing this routine, but it doesn’t always happen. If you are still conditioned from doing the newbie, I would say it is time to advance to something else.

You already have a Bathmate and although I don’t like it because is doesn’t have a pressure gauge, you can start making this your primary routine by doing 10, then 15, then 20 minute sessions, but just be careful with the pressure as it is easy to go overboard, the first sign of which would be red spots. You can also incorporate jelqing into your pump routine as they complement each other.


The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Would you recommend other stretches apart from the newbie ones to complement this? And should I jelq before or after pumping? Right now I pump after jelqing, but that is usually 5 to 10 min. And I’ve had the red spots before and I know what the pressure should feel like now to prevent that. If I wouldn’t incorporate the pump what would your suggestion be then? I’m sorry to ask all these questions but I can’t seem to find a newbie-follow up routine on this forum.

There is no formal routine that follows the newbie, you kind of design your own based on your goals and what style of PE you like the best. You can try a jelq, pump, jelq, pump, jelq, pump routine of say 5 to 10 minutes each cycle depending on how much time you have and you can always throw in your favorite stretches while waiting for your morning shower to heat up or for say 5 minutes before you start a jelq/pump routine. Do what feels good and what seems to work best for you. If you enjoy your PE routine I think you will get the best results.

I love pumping, and because I enjoy doing it so much, I think it definitely gives me some bonus size by the end of the routine.

I agree with Gprent. I didnt gain any “size” from the newbie routine but you will get your penis conditioned to advance carefully to a alternate routine. Review my log. I went from the newbie routine and tried different routines for a few months each and have just reported my first gains. Oh and please DONT measure too often. Once a month at most. I didn’t measure for 2 months and today I reported my first girth gains. Over 3/8 inch but will not update my stats because I want to see how much of the size is actually cemented. I hope all of it is cemented. Just rememberbto listen to vets like Titliest and Gprent. They have been there before. Trust me. Be consistent and gains will come. I am proof that PE works!!

Thanks people :) I’ve been doing the jelq-pump jelq pump jelq pump routine ever since each lasting 5 min. I’ll up the time when it seems like a good idea. I also pump a bit harder, still no red spotting so I think that is fine. I only don’t have a lasting pump, it goes back to normal within 5 min. So I think I have a very rigid penis. I’ll keep to this routine for a while, see how it works :)
