To get a grip, you’ll want to wrap something around the area you’re gripping. It’ll give you some cushioning so you can tolerate the stronger grip you need to tug.

Some kind of rubber or silicone type material works best.

She seems to enjoy sex a lot, so don’t create problems that don’t exist.
Now, after the routine it’s better to use heat as for the warm-up. A cool-down is used more in some heavy routines (heavy clamping sessions for example) because it helps with trauma healing, with the newbie routine you don’t need that, that’s my opinion (tried both).
