A memorable quote from my Dad

A memorable quote from my Dad

“You can’t drive a spike with a tap hammer”.

Ironically, my Dad was hung like a stallion ( unfortunately, I didn’t get it 😞) and he had almost no ass (I did inherit the lack of derriere, however) with which to drive it, so I don’t know where this quote came from but I think that it is kind of amusing. I don’t know what made me think of this as he’s been gone for 29 years now but this memorable quote still makes me smile.

One from my dad that still lives with me is, “If you’re on time, you’re late”. Always be early.

I love that!

Sounds like more words of wisdom from the “Greatest Generation”.

My Dad also had a similar saying “It’s just as easy to be a little early as a little late”.

Dad was born on a farm in North Dakota in 1909. Good, solid, Midwestern farm boy.

my Dad: “Son I am very proud of you. But fuck 50 women before you get married.” He knew his stuff and prolly knew we were a horny breed. He also said “Make them laugh, you have the gift”. I was a very serious teenager most of the time unless you were very close to me, but he was right.

He died before I turned 30 and damn I still miss the old man every other day. The more I age the more I see of him when I look into the mirror and I say “fuck me there’s so much of you in me, miss you”. I thought he was a fool at time when I was 15, now that I am that age I go “God I get it now”.

Miss him. Best friend ever. One thing that makes it easy to accept mortality as you hit middle ageish shit is the good people that left. You can genuinely go “I am not afraid. I’ll join some great fucking people over there”. But not yet.

About penis size my dad said for every sword there is a proper fitting scabbard.

Wow!

Quoting our Dads was a good idea if I do say so myself! Love hearing the wisdom that they dispensed.!

When I was younger, I looked like my Mom. As I age, like you, I look more and more like my Dad in the face, which is good as he was a good looking guy, so I’ll take it.

Both my parents looked great and I got their genes. I could post a bragful younger picture. I. made The Rock look like my ugly young brother. If you challenge me I’ll share a pic.

To this day my GF - who is spectacular and show stopping - accuses me of having “pretty boy habits” but she’ll admit I am “so handsome” when we fuck. It’s kinda making a dick size compliment. And I know I am a very lucky dude, but I also have worked very hard my entire life at it, partially because I am a conceited ass. 😛

And I am not a soft dude. I loved amateur boxing and martial arts and have the scars to show and a few good stories. My dad put me up to amateur boxing when I was a bit of a maladjusted kid that got into too many schoolyard fights. I got my ass beat brutally here and there in amateur boxing too. I fought fucking Ray Mercer. I quit like a dog of course. Went back to the corner after the second round going “fuck this he’s going to kill me” and pissed blood for 3 days.

Our history is entertaining.

“Draw a line in the sand, son.”

Dad applied this to a lot of things, especially not quitting. He chewed me out after getting second at a wrestling tournament because he knew I could do better. He was right; didn’t lose a wrestling match after that, stopped once I went to college. My dad was a hard-working man. I remember coming home from school one day, and there where all these deep trenches in the yard. He had dug a new septic system and leach field with a shovel, deep enough for me to walk around in the trenches, with the ground level being over my head. Never was scared of hard work.

To SMooth

It’s okay to be a bit full of yourself. False modesty is just a bit too patronizing at times. I know that being modest is supposed to make you more popular but when someone is obviously good looking and won’t accept the compliment, you think to yourself-“Yeah, sure…like you don’t know it”?

Anyway, a simple”thank you” is always a good response when you receive a well-deserved compliment.

I was not a pretty boy. Some girls thought that I was “cute” but no one ever accused me of being a “fox” as we used to say in those days.

But now that am older, I look more like my Dad. He was a pretty good looking guy and also hung, which is always a nice bonus. In fact before he met my Mom, he had at least one girlfriend drop another guy specifically because they did not measure up in the meat department and told him so.

Anyway, my being “good looking” is more in conjunction with my age than anything else. Before I lost this last 50 pounds, I was a mess-a big fat marshmallow. Anything BUT good looking.

But for being a geezer, I think that I look well above average. It helps that I still have a full head of hair too. Muscle definition is good as well. I have 15 inch guns. Not bad for a guy only 5 ft 7 and pushing the BIG 7-0.

“Coffee. It makes your pecker hard.”

- Choice wisdom dispensed to a 13 year-old who wouldn’t know what the hell he was talking about for another 30 years.

Quotes not from my Dad

Not from my Dad but from the 1981 comedy “Porky”. If you haven’t seen it, it’s worth

a look. A good “coming of age” movie.

“Man is not known by inches alone”.

(Spoken by the character aptly named “Pee Wee”).

“Pee Wee, you little prick…. literally”

(Spoken by a girl upon whom Pee Wee has just perpetrated an embarrassing prank).

TO:Alex2

Now this probably is not the smartest thing that I have ever done but I am about to give away my political position.

Hard work is going out of fashion in this country. Now, it’s “What can you give me for which I do not have to work”?

I am old enough to remember President Kennedy whom I consider to be the last good Democrat President.

His most famous words would never be spoken by a Democrat today:

“Ask not what your country can do for you, Ask what you can do for your country”.

In my way of thinking, almost everything pushed by Democrats today is upside down and backwards from what they should be pushing.

I am not about to defend Trump in all things because his gaffs and misspeaks are too numerous to mention, but I will say this much:

When I was a kid, no one except a few communists and America haters had a problem with America being great. The fact that the concept of America being great is now controversial is mind blowing to me.

If you post yours, I’ll post mine.

You may win the contest but maybe I will get an honorable mention.

Just a reminder that this is a public forum and posted pics are forever.

Just to be clear, I was not suggesting a nudie.

I would not post a nude pic that showed my face for obvious reasons.
