What is the best pump money can buy?

Most of the threads I’ve come across on this subject are over 10 years old and seem to focus heavily on whatever makes the most financial sense. So, this thread is somewhat twofold: What is THE best pump if the money weren’t a concern? And: Are there any newer pumps that have come out in the last ten years that are shaping up to be far superior to the classics (Leluv, bathmate, QS7, etc)?

Some qualities I would consider that would deem a pump “the best”, in order of importance:

- It works! (actual success stories with exceptional results from real people)
- Safe: It minimizes discoloration, turkey neck, fluid buildup, loss of EQ, injury, etc.
- Ease of effective use: Can be used anywhere (not bathroom/water-based only), easy to have consistent workouts (pressure gauge/automation), not noisy (if electric)
- Durability: Doesn’t break after a few months’ use

Based on those criteria, I assume the best pump would be electric due to its safety and automated workouts. The only thing with those is that I’m not sure they make any that are VERY silent (so not very convenient), and I couldn’t find any threads on here with info about the long-term effectiveness of them over other methods (probably because they aren’t as popular?).

Thanks for the quick reply. A few thoughts:

- Is there anything specific you recommend on this site?
- Are glass pumps actually safe?? I’m terrified of the idea of one of these things exploding on me from too much pressure.
- No offense to the site— I’m sure they make excellent products— but its looks like a blast from the past, reminiscent of geocities and AOL days. Also, most of their products are sold out. It makes me wonder if they are even still active? Also, I’m assuming they have been around for some time— are there any newer superior products, or does everyone generally go for these older models even today?

If I wanted the very best pump, I would probably have to make it.

I think a curved pump cylinder would be a great innovation, because you could do bends and pumping at the same time. A spiral tube would be awesome.

A triangular pump cylinder could be good too.

Starting: 7"bplx5.2" 2017 (shrunk from disuse)(originally 8"bplx4.5", gained to 9"bplx6")

Current: 9.0"bplx6.125" 2020

Goal: 11.5"bplx7" 2021.

Hmm… maybe I should’ve added “easy to setup” as part of the criteria! Haha. As long as we talked about custom setups, we could very easily go down a rabbit hole. Heck, why not throw some AI in the mix and create a “smart” pump.

What about existing setups that are ready to go that I can order today?

Find the cylinder diameter you need and order two inches in length longer than your BPEL. Make sure it comes with the silicone ring and you’re all set. Get a break bleeder pump from Harbor Freight and Tool. Start slowly and use constant heat.

Thanks again for the input. So I guess what I’m hearing is: even with all of the money in the world to throw at this, there really isn’t much benefit in getting anything extremely fancy. Is that correct?

For a concrete example, some of the electric ones are supposed to be programmable, allowing you to do something like increase and decrease the pressure in steady intervals. My guess is that it would significantly reduce the risk of injury or side effects, but again I’m new to pumping so I have no idea!

Based on my ten years of pumping experience the Harbor Freight brake bleeder pump which I just saw also listed on Amazon for $18.95

https://www.ama zon.com/gp/prod … .DUSWXB7M&psc=1 combined with a VelSeL cylinder from Pump Toys, makes the best system. However, an elongated cylinder from LAPump (if you have an oval shaped erection) is also a top rated cylinder.

Start 11/09 BPEL: 5.5", EG: 4.4"

Current. BPEL: 6:4", EG: 5.5"

Exactly the set up I recommend.

Okay thanks for everyone’s opinions!

Sorry going to bump this again. Titleist, I saw in another thread that you had gotten doughnuts from pumping before, but didn’t care because it went away. Will this setup cause that risk?

This is sort of the reason I was asking about dynamic pumping, which is supposed to minimize side effects (in theory).

I can’t seem to open that link. It looks like it’s been collapsed somehow? Also, I don’t see anything by Harbor Freight directly on Amazon, but I found a few pumps that look basically identical. Is this the one you were talking about? https://www.ama … /dp/B00NP60URE/

Here’s another one: https://www.ama … /dp/B07GFMTQY2/

I just want to make sure I don’t order some knockoff here…

I’m a veteran pumper 15 plus years now and I have spent well over $5000 in pumps and materials. If money is no object I would go with the Pulsar by Vacutech. I own two CTC’s and 5 manual pumps. The Pulsar is SIMPLE easy and hard to screw up once you get the hang of it.

Sadly I just went to their website and its not working any longer. So I will take GREAT Care to keep it in working condition. So now that I found out I’d look for a used one or go to the fall back of the CTC 2000XL that’s a beast. I bought CTC’s electronic DP-4000 and hated it. WAY too complicated and needed programming, a PC, USB cords just crazy!

I hope this helps a little.

Any pump “can” cause a donut of too much time or vacuum is used.
