Expert advice on routine please!

I have taken a short decon break from PE and I’m ready to start with pumping again. I think it has the most bang-for-the-buck when combined with wet jelqs and stretches.

I am extra sensitive to PE, however, and it is extremely hard for me to find the sweet spot of positive PE exertion.

How does this sound for someone who is very prone to negative PIs:

Weeks 1-2: 5 days a week pumping 10 minutes @ ~3” Hg
Weeks 3-4: 5 days a week pumping 10 minutes @ ~4” Hg
Weeks 5-6: 5 days a week pumping 10 minutes @ ~4” Hg; 5 minutes of wet jelqs
Weeks 7-8: 5 days a week pumping 10 minutes @ ~4” Hg; 10 minutes of wet jelqs

To be honest newjaytdot, your routine is too complicated to be able to analyse. Switching every two weeks cannot give any measurable data, as the routine changes too often.
You do not say how you react to whatever you have done, except you are sensitive. But in what way are you sensitive?

What was your routine before you found you were sensitive to PE

If you are sensitive to PE then go for 3hg at a longer period 15 mins, and then do light jelqing for 10 minutes. Definitely wet if you are circumsized, but you might be better using some aqueous cream . Most chemists (drug stores) sell something of that nature, which, when combined with a little water give a very easy ‘slide’ for jelqing, and will stop your skin being overstretched. The same applies if you are uncut, although you might be able to work a litlle harder on the Jelq.

Also use the lubricant when in the tube, and certainly do not allow the tube to be tight. If you have problems then a tube which you don’t fill girthwise would probably be better.

For someone who is “very prone to negative PIs”, why not start out at a lower vacuum (~2 inHG) and, instead of increasing vacuum level, increase duration?

Five days a week may be too much, or not. I’d suggest that you adjust that based on your PIs.

Is there a reason that you’re waiting until week five to do any jelquing?

I also think that once you get past the Newbie Penis Enlargement Routine , a program where you automatically progress in time, duration and complexity without regard to PIs may not be in your best interest.

Are you only doing one set in the pump each pump day?

How do you warm up before going into the pump?

How is your erection strength after a workout?

The early days...

I’ve been doing some newbie PE (returning after awhile) and gotten my dick ready for my pump.

I just started a condom pumping routine 4 days ago, pumping every day for 2 back-to-back sets of 5 minutes (3” Hg). I am going to wait until I have 2 weeks to start adding manual stretches and jelqs. I plan on doing a stretch set every other day, and a jelq set before pumping on the alternate days. In other words,

Monday - Stretch/Pump
Tuesday - Jelq/Pump
Wednesday - Stretch/Pump
etc.

So far, my unit has responded well to my pumping routine. It hangs really fat for the rest of the day, but it is usually back to its normal size by the time I go for the next day’s pumping session. I haven’t noticed any difference in my erection size, but the EQ is great. Rock hard erections!

Is this normal? Should it take awhile for my dick to start feeling bigger in its erect state? Does pumping ever make a ‘permanent’ gain in the erect/semi-erect departments, or are you just basically maintaining that increased state with a daily pump?

I will be patient with my gains, I’m just wondering how long it took you guys to notice some ERECT changes. A month? 2? 3? I never got into a good rhythm with my pump. I took things overboard and edged/masturbated too much, leading to horrible EQ.

Condom pumping is good, and I normally use a little more vacuum when vacuum pumping, so you could consider going a little higher than 3 inHg.

Your pumping routine right now is pretty light, but that’s OK. It’s better to increase gradually while monitoring your response. And what I might find light might be more than enough for someone else starting out, which is another good reason to start low and work your way up.

If you’re hanging fat the rest of the day, you’re on the right track.

For me, the key to pumping gains is regularity. Do the routine that you can maintain (consistent with PIs and EQ). You’ve got experience with overdoing, so you know what I’m talking about there.

Thanks for the response, Lampwick. Do you find that pumping gains are transient, while other techniques really cement those gains? I’m wondering how much I should strive for. Should I make pumping the center of my routine, or should I make it more of a supplemental aspect of a routine?

I suspect that pumping all by itself could be adequate for non-transient gains, but I also think that jelqing or massaging goes well with pumping. Where are you in terms of PE, newjaytdot? Have you completed the Newbie Routine, or something like it?

Got red spots on my 6th day..

I just got a few red spots on my shaft (weirdly enough) on my 6th day. I warm up a ton, do 2 sets of 5 minutes at about 3”Hg. Am I going too hard? Today was the first day I tried a donut, but I think it was too tight. That might have something to do with it. Anyway, I just don’t want to overdo anything.

Has anyone else gotten these on the shaft?

I have. Watch them, make sure that they don’t get worse/bigger, or that you don’t develop more of them. Two sets of five minutes at 3 inHg should not be overdoing. Throw a rest day in there if you have not done so already.

This is why I asked about what PE you had been doing previously. The conditioning from the Newbie Routine would tend to reduce the incidence of development of red spots, but you might still get some as you start with pumping.

Thanks, lampwick! I am thinking about taking a few days rest, and then just starting from the newbie routine. While I don’t know that I’m really overdoing it with the pump, I would like to see what gains, if any, I can get from good ol’-fashioned jelqing!

That sounds like a good approach, newjaytdot. Usually I would suggest pumping after completing the Newbie Routine. It’s not that you can’t jump right into pumping, but the Newbie Routine is a good foundation to start with.
