Update

So after the five-day break, wood was back and longer than normal (see my post two steps back). I celebrated with 3min in the cylinder at 3-4”Hg. The next two days I had weak wood again! So no more pumping. On the third day, it was fine.

It’s very strange that I’m so sensititve to the pump. I think I’ll stick to just stretching and jelquing for a couple of weeks. Then, if my unit feels strong and healthy, I’ll try a few minutes with the pump again.

And I was counting on pumping to help with my slow girth. :-( But like SixerMan said, aim for low and slow.

As for girth, have you tried clamping?

Nope. It seems as if I’m starting to get my first 0.1” of girth after two months of mostly jelquing. I’ll give it another two months or so. I do some OK-grip 10-second clamping during jelquing, but I think you talk about keeping a clamp on for 10+ minutes, right?

Yes, I’m talking about using a clamp for 10-15 minute sets. Depending on how long you’ve been jelqing, stick with that for a while. I started by doing Horses and Ulis and related manual girth exercises. Then I slowly got into clamping. I think I’m a fairly easy gainer in the girth department (and a hard gainer in the length department!). The jelqing and manual girth exercises gave me some increase, but most of my girth increase came from clamping.

I just looked back over my EL/EG data — I measure almost every day.

Girth growth did happen a few weeks after the occasionaly pumping. Hmm. Perhaps I should try once-a-week pumping after all. I haven’t touched the device for ages. Time to shave…

When you do dust off the pump, try pumping-only during that PE session (no manual exercises along with it). See if that makes a difference. You may be able to sneak up on your pump-sensitive cock and trick it into better toleration.

Thanks, avocet8, that’s good advice. Sometimes, 20min of jelquing can leave me a bit weak.
