New pump

So even when it is holding a vacuum pressure it still reads 1? Or does it only go down to 1 when the pressure is released? If it still feels like it is giving an accurate pressure reading under vacuum, I would keep on using it.

It never drops below 1 when the pressure is released that’s the problem.

So when I start to pump I don’t start from 0 it starts from 1.

Oh also any recommendations of a pump seal to get for perfect fit from time to time I see the pressure drop not often but every now and then even though I shaved and lubed the cylinder before using it. 🙄

I would assume the gauge pressure to be accurate once you are under vacuum. Also, a slight loss of pressure requiring and occasional pump or two to maintain your target pressure is acceptable.

What about getting a pump seal or aka pump sleeve for extra seal?

I don’t need that myself and I don’t think most guys use one, but you can give it a try. My Velseal cylinder from Pumptoys came with a silicone seal ring and I didn’t like it and never use it. Just use the cylinder as is and get a perfect seal. As a matter of fact, I have never used a seal or sleeve with any of my cylinder designs. I should mention that I am clean shaven and that helps a lot. :)

The 1.75 inch tube is way too small, I can pack it in like 10 minutes and worse it tapers off higher up the tube, part of the reason I got my blisters.. However I noticed has really helped my base girth so quite happy really.

Would recommend this tube for starters! However choose your sizing wisely, good thing is to buy the next tube size up is only 20pounds so I can probably get three tubes for the same price as one thick wall kit with one tube.

No, that hand pump can’t handle water. You can put a water trap between the cylinder and the pump, but that is a lot of hassle. At least for me! :)

For now, I would recommend perfecting your air pumping.

Oh I see, for how long should I stick to only air pumping for.. After maxing on the time and pressure I guess, should be a while though.

Oh an update I just hit 7.5/7.6 BPEL inside the tube but I messure with a ruler next to the tube cause the messure on the tube its off, I think I’m getting back to the max size I got years ago and a bit more cause if I recall well my max BPEL was 7.2 and now 7.5/7.6 inside the tube happened yesterday I guess it’s a preview of where I should be getting at outside the cylinder in the future, well either ways it made me happy, excited and motivated me to keep going just a little update that I thought I might share oh and also incorporated a heating pad(been using it for a week and counting) now every time I pump I keep a heating pad wrapped around the cylinder on all sets also use it for warm ups and warm downs that might have contributed to the spike in lenght inside the tube.

2 inch tube arrives today, supplement my 1.75 inch tube!

Hey Cheeba, I’m interested to know more as I’m in the UK and the kit you bought looks a great price. Any downsides or things to note before I take my first steps into pumping?

The only downside I can think of is 1 getting a tube to fit you and
2. You gonna be massive if you start to pump, you are gonna have to reNAME yourself jonah falcon numero dos.

Yeah go for it but confirm your measurements as I think the tubes are not as long as the thick wall pumps.
