MPa to InHg

MPa to InHg

In keeping strain between .10-.17 in order to stay under the elastic region like Kyrpa and others suggest, how does that equate to vacuum for pumping? Google says .17MPa is 50inHg which obviously isn’t right for this application. What would a conversion or formula be?

Force is the capacity to do work or cause physical change. Force can be a push or a pull. You apply force to your dick when you hang a weight on it.

Pressure and force are related. Vacuum is the range of pressure between absolute zero and ambient pressure (0 psia to 14.7 psia at sea level) and sometimes called negative pressure because pressure is reducing from 14.7 to zero. When your vac gauge reads -5inHg (-2.45psia) your dick is feeling 12.25psia instead of 14.7.

Pressure is the measure of how much force is acting on an area.

Pressure would be a push and vacuum would be a pull.

The equation explaining the relationship between force, pressure and area is:

F = PA

F=force (lbs)
P=pressure (psi)
A=area in units squared (sq in)

Converting force on your dick from vacuum in a cylinder is complicated. If your cylinder is larger than your dick then the force is acting in multiple directions (think girth and length). If your dick is touching the side of the cylinder then you have introduced friction which is affecting part of the dick.

Simplistically, take the circumference of your glans and convert it to area (pi x r2) and insert it in the F=PA equation with vacuum reading. This should be close enough for what you are seeking.

Initial: 7” BPEL; 6” NBPEL; 5.25” - 5.5” MEG

Current: 7-7/8” BPEL; 7-3/8” NBPEL; 8.5” BPFSL; 6.5” MEG; 6”x5” Flaccid.

Goal: Improved/consistent EQ while managing ED. Secondary: maintain current stats.

So what’s the preferred hg while pumping?

Start 8/15/18-BPEL-6.75” MEG-4.625”

2/17/20-BPEL-7.125” MEG-5”

Goal- 8”x5.5”

(I made some edits between first posting and your question)

3 to 5 inHg for newbies and anyone restarting after a break. Veterans will sometimes increase the vacuum but one needs to be cautious because higher vacuum can cause petechiae and blisters.
