Is the cylinder too big?

Hi all!

I’m pumping for girth (I’m little over ~5” EG at the base and 4.5” mid-shaft). Per the mega-thread on selecting cylinder size, I should use the 2” cylinder for girth growth. The problem with the 2” cylinder is that instead of seeing the base expand, it appears to be… sucking up the skin just below my shaft? It freaks me out sorta because it’s right above my balls, and I’ve read that going too big with the cylinder can lead to that extremely unpleasant experience. Is this normal?

I also have a 1.75” cylinder, but the problem there is that my glans fills the space before I feel any expansion in the shaft, to the point that any more than 100 mmHg (3.94 inHg) leads to borderline pain.

Which way do I go with this? Do I really need a custom build with a wider top for the glans or can I make one of these work? Thank you!

Some of the skin is being sucked up because you don’t have enough slack to handle the extra volume you’re getting when pumping. It will eventually stretch.

Shea or cocoa butter will help make your skin more stretchy.

A small amount of skin being pulled up is due to the gap between the base of your penis and the inside of the cylinder. That’s normally not significant. If it bothers you, several companies sell seals or gaskets that go on the mouth of the tube, that can help the situation some.

Thanks. So the 2” cylinder is the way to go? It’s weird because visually it just looks like the skin is filling the gap instead of noticing my unit expanding, but maybe I shouldn’t expect to see expansion so dramatic that I notice with my eyes. It definitely expands length-wise though!

I forgot to add, I have a VelSeal pump which comes with a silicone donut. Theoretically this should help with sealing but I need lobs of KY jelly to make it work and the skin slips through either way.

I think you’d be a better fit in your 1.75” cylinder. Try backing down to 3” of vacuum or shortening your sessions until the discomfort goes away.

It’s not unusual for a little abdominal skin to get sucked into the tube. As your shaft skin stretches that will happen less.

The problem with the 1.75” was that the glans will fill the space before there’s any significant expansion in the shaft, even under 100mmHg. It’s almost like I need a custom pump with 1.75” at the base and 2” at the top?

My sessions are already quite short— I’m doing 3 sets of 3 minutes every other day mostly to get a feel for it since I’m still a newbie at this.

That would be fine if it didn’t feel extremely intense and borderline painful at low pressures. But if low pressure is better for girth anyways then I’ll give it a go.

Maybe I could also try shooting for stronger erections (90+%) when using the 2” cylinder?

Are you really lubing up the glans, might make the different

Generally speaking, yes. But I can try to add more.

Use a silicone base so that scrotal skin will not much sucked in to the tune.

Sounds to me like what you’re suffering from here is more pressure than your glans can deal with. The larger the surface area, the more raw force the pressure exerts. So -10”Hg around a 6” circumference has more pull than it does around a 4” circumference because of the greater surface area.

I would suggest trying a glans cap or wrapping to reduce the strain on your head, especially if your main focus is gaining shaft girth.

Start: Oct '16 - 6.75" BPEL, 4.875" MSEG

Current: Oct 15, '22 - 7.875" BPEL, 5.875" MSEG

GOAL: 8" BPEL X 6" MSEG

Start low pressure with the 1.75” for 5 to 10 minutes and then move up to the 2”

I’m 4.75 MSEG with a glans that’s 5.25ish. I use the 1.75 tube and have a 2in on hand. I smear a little lube near where my glans sits in the tube to help it slide. I’m not using the 2in tube until I fully pack the 1.75. I also use leluv silicone base rings. Got them from eBay. You would probably fit the medium or large.

Interesting, I haven’t heard of a glans cap. So that will keep the glans from expanding in the tube without causing intense “back” pressure?

Thanks, I’ll try lower pressure for a longer period. For what it’s worth, I start running into this problem around 3-4” pressure. Do you think I should go lower than that, say 2.5”?
