What do you use for weights?

Hello,

Well after 8 years of on and off PE with the last year and a half of pumping, I am finally getting into hanging to try to gain some length.

I’m sorry if this was covered but I couldn’t find it. What do you use as weights? I found some hook weights on amazon but it seems kind of tedious to have to buy these every time you want to move up in weight.

What is the easiest/best thing to use as weights?

I see a lot of people use gym weight plates.

Could always use a bottle and fill with sand/rocks.

I use weight plates because I had them lying around. I like them because they are easy to deal with and I know the weight that I am dealing with

I’ve read some use lead rings. From what i gather they can be used with pants walking outside.

Can someone explain them to me or give me a link.

Zenhanger, yes it’s a noose. But it’s comfortable, and gotten great gains so far!

It detaches easily from the handle and it’s convenient for changing weight often.

Goal for 2018 is 8" BPEL x 5 1/4" MEG! PE'ing Just Over a Year and Going for 8x6

I use weight plates and form a loop from baling wire to fit over the hanger hook.

I’m using lead for fishing. Good weight and very compact

I used to use them. I wrapped mine with electrical tape. Some others who used them, brought up the concern about lead is not safe in contact with skin. I don’t know if that is true or not, but it only took a few minutes to wrap the weights up.

Thanks for the advice bhcentral, I didn’t know about that but I’ve already wrapped mine too!
This weights are so compact, just love them. I’ve payed like $7 bucks /2Lbs.

Dumbbell with chain attached to the handle.


Hanging heavy weights could cause injury if one is not conditioned to such weights. Before you decide to go heavy, you need to go through a conditioning process of slowly building up weights to the point when you feel comfortable. So, please take it slowly and pay attention to your wrapping technique.

September 1, 2016 - BPEL: 7.25in MSEG 4.75in EL: 5.5in FG 3.75in FL 3.5in

March 1, 2017 - BPEL: 8.0n MSEG 5.25in EL: 6.0in FG 4.625in FL 4.625in

PE Goal: BPEL: 9in MSEG: 6.5in EL: 8.0in FG 5.5in FL 6in

Weider 5lb weight plate and Ader Micro Fractional weights. I use a small dog collar through the hole of the weights. Works perfectly.
