In addition to weights , I have been using a spring loaded (camera tripod) that can pull up to 20 lbs force as measured by the spring mechanism integrated into the center component of the tripod. One can order this device from a site called Trac-Man (I have no affiliation with this company) or build one from a camera tripod and spring mechanism that indicates lbs of force (similar to a fish scale).

You might look at this is a complement to weights. It is particularly useful in the upright position and varying angles to upright, whereas weights are particularly useful for BTC and variations of BTC. The Bib hanger works flawlessly with the “Traction Tripod” as it does with weights.

One can basically think of this in an analogous way per body building equipment, that is you have free weights that are optimal for certain moves and machines that are optimal for other body building moves. I view this as an exciting option and felt I would be remiss if I did not mention the idea.

My current measurement is 7” BPE, stretched BPE is about 7 3/8” . I have laid off for about 6 months for various reasons including work commitments. Further Observations on Bib Hanger and Traction via Camera Tripod

This method allows for optimum facility per all other angles than BTC. You get a clean dynamic stretch with out the hassle of lines, weights, and unknown frictional forces per OTL, OTS scenarios. The built in tension meter shows precisely the lbs of pull. To get a particular angle to the vertical, simply adjust the legs of the tripod. For a “default” vertical position, I will adjust one tripod leg at a time and increase traction force by approximately one or two pounds at a time. This is consistent with the safe scenario per gradual incremental buildup of traction over a period of minutes until you achieve maximum traction. For example I will start at 1 lb then 2 lb and also gradually tighten the Bib to max early on as I build up traction to perhaps 13-16 lbs force. The traction on my apparatus can go up to 20 lbs force, I have gone up to 16 lbs or less based on comfort constant stretch so far. Hope this is of help as a viable alternative method of facilitated stretching.
