Bareback Bib’n

Bareback Bib’n

I haven’t been hanging for months, not because I don’t think it’s effective, but because of time and comfort issues. Hanging not only requires a lot of hang time, but also a lot of prep time. I just didn’t want to waste so much time out my day trying to get the wrap right between every set.

So many people have been getting such great results lately that I decided to try it again—only this time I decided to try bib hanging with no wrap. Boy, am I glad I did. What the hell is that damn wrap supposed to accomplish anyway?! It works a lot better for me with no wrap, and saves a ton of time!

Advantages of Bareback:

- Holds more securely and doesn’t slip at high weights because grooves can grip penis better without being blocked by the wrap.

- More comfortable because there is no wrap edge to pull down and cut into glands.

- Better circulation because the channels built into the bib to preserve circulation are not blocked by Theraband or other wrap.

- Saves LOTS of time messing with getting wrap just right between each set.

I am hanging 22 pound for two 30 minute sets now, BTW, and circulation is fine. My glands used to get much darker at the end of a twenty minute wrapped set then it does now at the end of a 30 minute bareback set. It hardly gets discolored at all now, and returns to normal after just a bit of shaking.

SOME guys CAN hang with no wrap. They usually have smaller girths though. The wrap is to gather skin up and prevent pinching for the thicker guys like myself. Youre supposed to stay wrapped until youve finished your sets. Not unwrap between sets. Whatever works for you though.

Thanks for that post Mushroom, I’m trying wrap free hanging as we speak.

Hey - even though you report no circulation issues, I think you might be better off doing 3 x 20 minute sets not 2 x 30 minute sets. You’re choice of course, but I would err on the side of caution.

Ha Mushroom,

Did you adj your hanger settings when you went to no wrap?

GMJ

I tried a set without wrap and it went great. It was even more comfortable then with wrap on. I can’t understand why i have’nt tried this earlier, thx for the tip Mushroom

My Goal: 8"x6" - Currently: 7,5"x4,8" |-| Gains So far: Lenght: 0.5" Girth: 0" - Just going for girth ATM

Still,

I am fairly close to your size at 8x5.75, although I have an especially long flaccid stretch @ 9”, so maybe more of my girth converts to length when I stretch it.

I had to unwrap after each set in order to restore my dick to order because the wrap itself always caused me the most discomfort. The edge of the wrap would always dig into my glands and cause pain. It did help, however, to wrap a bit closer to the glands, and then roll the extra wrap back and anchor it under the hanger so that I’d get a rounded corner digging into my glands rather than a sharp one. It would break loose sometimes though, and revert to a straight edge.

wannabeseven,

3 x 20 would be even safer, I am sure, but part of the reason I stopped hanging was that it took too much time. Not only do 20 minute sessions require more time consuming breaks, but it also means that you can only concentrate on whatever else you are trying to accomplish in 20 minute intervals. Advocates of hanging often site how you can accomplish other non-pe related tasks while hanging, but I find it hard to accomplish much when I have to break my concentration every 20 minutes. I can accomplish much more in 30 minute chunks of time. BTW, does anyone know where the “magic number” of 20 minutes came from? It’s intuitive that less time = safer, but it’s a continuum.

Justin,

I adjusted it slightly tighter to compensate for the lack of wrap. I never used an excessive amount of wrap though. People that normally use a lot of wrap would obviously have to make bigger adjustments.

bOne,

Glad to here it! I didn’t think I’d be the only one. It’s a win-win situation. More time efficient and more comfortable too.

something to think about

Thanks for the suggestions. As I am about to begin hanging (within 1 week, when the kids return to school), I will try both. First, wrapped; then, unwrapped - and see which works best for me.

I would also echo Bib’s warnings about not exceeding 20-minute sets. Try 3 x 20 instead of 2 x 30. I know the latter sounds more convenient, but why risk damage?

Mushroom,

SWM is correct. When you get the wrap right, you can just leave it on. But be sure to get the excess blood out of the head before the next set.

There are several threads concerning no wrap hanging. For many guys though, they have to wrap. For me, my head and upper shaft were not big enough to go no wrap. I needed the extra support of the wrap. Two, the skin pinching is an issue.

>- Holds more securely and doesn’t slip at high weights because grooves can grip penis better without being blocked by the wrap. <

This is true, but a couple of layers of wrap should not impede blood flow too much, as long as the wrap is not too tight.

>- More comfortable because there is no wrap edge to pull down and cut into glands.<

This is a function of the type of wrap, the tightness of the first couple of layers of wrap, and the distance between the hanger and leading edge of teh wrap. As long as the wrap is very elastic, and not to tight between the head and hanger, and not too far away from the leading edge of the wrap, it should not be an issue.

>- Better circulation because the channels built into the bib to preserve circulation are not blocked by Theraband or other wrap. <

True, but if you use the wrap spareingly, it is not an issue.

>- Saves LOTS of time messing with getting wrap just right between each set. <

Just stay wrapped.

That is great, but still try to limit those sets. I hung many sets over 20 minutes, while wrapped. But it was because of loosing track of the time. I would get busy and forget the weights. There is just no sense in taking chances.

>BTW, does anyone know where the “magic number” of 20 minutes came from? It’s intuitive that less time = safer, but it’s a continuum. <

The max time recommeded for using a tournequet is 17 minutes. While blood flow is not completely cut off while hanging, it is reduced. So I always recommend a max of 20 minute sets to be on the safe side since most guys only have the one penis. There are no do-overs.

As said before, many guys prefer no wrap, but some guys HAVE to have wrap. It is all part of the experiment process each guy needs to go through to find what works best for him.

Bigger

Well, I guess keep an eye on the gel cusion in the hanger. If it starts wearing thin in spots you could run into some abrasion issues.
