Attaching hanger closer to the base

I been hanging for 3 weeks and just last night I noticed I’m starting to break skin at the base so I think I’m stretching too much skin. I g it plenty of skin already from the newbie routine. What’s the best way to attach hanger without putting to much stress on the skin?. I was thinking about attaching hanger right at the base but wanted to get some advice first.

I typically attach hanger about a half inch below circumcision line.


Reject the basic assumptions of civilizations, especially the importance of material possessions.

Do some searches, this has come up in my readings (the closer to base thing).

Use cream after workouts, and don’t forget to traction wrap afterwards.

Keeping in mind that my hanging experience is old school. (newer guys are more current)

I attached my BIB as close to the base as possible. Even with a good grip it shifts toward the tip once you get a few pounds on it. Moisturizer for healthy skin and start out very light in weight.

How did that effect your skin stretching?

I’m about to begin hanging and I have had concerns about hanging too close to the head, but I guess you want to stretch as much of the shaft tissue as possible.

I will definitely start light.


Began December 2009 at 5 7/8" length and 5" girth.

As of December 5th 2012 7 3/8" BPEL and 6 1/8" base girth.

Going for the magic 8"x6"

I tried it tonight, it felt real good on the ligs compared to attaching midshaft. My only issue was it was stretching the skin too much but I noticed my head didn’t even turn purple like it usually does. So maybe a little extra skin will make hanging more comfortable once I start using the heavier weights. I started to notice when I jelq now my skin start going on over the head. I don’t mind because when the skin is over my head it adds to the thickness of it. My other issue with hanging is my dick always gets twisted a little bit when I tighten the hanger up.
