If I’m feeling sore I would do a lower tension session. But if things are feeling ok I’ll all ways try to push the limits a little bit.

I know the feeling, especially considering I’ve started extending again as of today. I’m not going by tension but rather by how long I make the extender arms on my device.
Lets just say I re-started my extending today at 16 cm length, and right now extending at 18 cm, though I did this in increments, 0.5 cm at a time, until I realized I could quite comfortably just screw the 2 cm long peg on the extender arms. Making it 18 instead of 16 cm.
Though a few years back I started out at 14 cm extended length which was a smidge over 2 cm my NBPEL. Put the hours in, adding peg by peg,(not too sure I’m naming the pieces correctly)slowly until I ended up extending, quite uncomfortably at 21- 22 cm, in total extender arm length, and full tension.
I must note that I also started experiencing some pain behind the glands then, making me eventually satisfied with the 2 cm I gained from it. Though as already mentioned I seemed to make my gains at the lower lengths and tension. Personally I don’t think pure force is the answer, rather slow and steadily building up both length and tension over weeks at a time.
Right now my plan is to add a 0.5 cm piece each new month. I got 4, 0.5 cm pieces for each arm and a last 0.3 mm pair as well in case those 2 mm extra will be too much at a time.
I do apologize if my writing is somewhat rushed and not fully comprehensive though, as English is my second language.
Just thought I would chime in once more. Best of luck, hope you’ll manage to figure out the sweet spot as well.
Ah oh yes, just by the way, from what I have read 1 h sessions is pretty perfect especially the more tension you use as you would need to take the device off to massage your unit a bit and most importantly restore blood flow. I find 1 h, with a few minutes rest time in between, to be pretty much perfect.
No need to haste it, this is a game of hours strapped in.
