How often do you measure your gains? do you think it is better to wait for longer periods or measure say every 2 days?

During the newbie period- Monthly. After that- Yearly or semi-annually at the most is my thought.

Nah, yearly is a little bit longer.. maybe every 2 months, so in case you dont get any gains in that time, you can change your routine.

thanks for the responses, I find myself wanting to measure after every session which really lets me down as you obviously aren’t going to gain much in just one workout. I’m going to try every month for a while? If I can withstand the temptation.

Haha nice av, though I was going crazy.

Right now? I measure too much. But till 14/11 I’m not measuring. I plan to measure now every month or so around that time. I think it is enough time to allow genuine growth & indicate whether your doing something right or perhaps something wrong.

I don’t know for you guys but I measure almost every workout.like that I can see if I’ve stretched my unit enought.Sometimes it is smaller sometimes it’s bigger.It depends of how much I am rested, etc.And 1 time a month I take a 2-3 days off and than when I am fully rest I measure officialy:)

In terms of motivation, infrequent measuring seems to work best for most guys. In terms of learning what works and evaluating different aspects of a PE program, frequent, ideally daily, measurements are the way to go. In my opinion, if you can check your ego and frustrations at the door, the latter can be a fast-track approach to finding and optimizing what works best for you.

I guess I’m measuring like 10 times a day, during the workouts. But I think there’s really a point about infrequent measurements and motivation. I might as well try that (but certainly not sure how much I can stand.. :) )

Once a month at most for me. If I measure more often than that. I start second guessing myself and think I’m not gaining, or I’m not gaining as much as I thought, etc. I find that that the feel of my cock in my wife’s pussy or the feel of it in my hand is a pretty good indicator of growth. I also like my wife’s reactions when I’ve got a good flaccid going on, or when my erection is especially big. When she gasps when I enter her, and she has mutiple orgasms every time we have sex,that’s the best indicator of all!

I used to measure all the time the first 5-6 months and it can really mess with your motivation in the beginning. I just recently started measuring monthly and will do so from now on. It was quite strange really, I have been using a tape measure until now but decided to take a good bone pressed ruler picture. Took it the 15 of last month so it was measure time again this Saturday and I was actually a bit scared to measure.

Anyway, I measured and found I have grown 2mm EL in one month. I even took two shots and they both gave me the same result. Only thing is I am very pleased with this gain but it is so small that one could easily take it for a measurement flaw so maybe every 2 months is better for newbies.

I know I have grown more like almost 0,5 cm since the last tape measure picture but will update my progress pictures when I hit 18. Should not take more than 2 months.

Every month or every other month is my tip. But hey, what ever works for you!

I find it’s VERY useful to alternate between inches and cm when measuring. That way, you won’t fail to notice gains.

(edit: I think I’ll clarify. Basically what I’m saying is, measure in inches one week, then cm the next, for example. The gains will be more noticeable that way)
