Just to put you on the right path as it were - well actually it’s a good swim unless you happen to have a rowing boat handy. It won’t take you long as it’s only about 3000 miles as the crow flies I’ll leave you to guess where you end up But if you see the odd :lep: You’ll know it’s the Rue. Of course, I stress the Odd one.

I, of course, live on the large piece, next door Where we have those quaint customs like Morris dancing, and rushing down hills chasing cheeses

Well, things seem to be falling into place. Petitfaun is “TIT” and Rousseau is “RUE.”

You, TiT, live where they roll cheeses. That’s easy…Great Britain. Morris Dancing I am familiar with, or know about. Morris Dancing and Scottish Sword dancing became very popular in the Southern States in the 1950’s
and many folk dancing groups incorporated them into their repertoire and do them even today. So, you must be in Gloucestershire. Some of my descendants came from Bath in the early 1600’s.

If you, TiT, live on the “large piece” and RUE on the “small piece,” then he must be in Northern Ireland (NI). Besides that’s where they have those little green men and leprechauns! I heard tales about these little people from from my Scotch-Irish descended grandmother when I was a baby.

I have always liked Scavenger Hunts or Place Hunts, so this has been a lot of fun. Have I found the two of you?

By the way, my Scotch-Irish grandmother grew a plant that she called “rue” and we used it to keep fleas off our pets, and bugs out of the garden and kitchen. Now, I’m not saying that RUE is a bug killer or might have an unusual aroma, but as I remember, the “rue” plant smelled awful! :( So, if he comes to the birthday gathering, I hope he will not smell like his name sake!

Not exactly :noreally: , I would generally be placed first and Tit falls into place behind me.

A good guess with Gloucestershire, but Tit’s area is rather less genteel, when he’s not in jail he is to be found further east in what I would call a slum area, but he calls it home. The Morris Dancing bit must have been used generally speaking (or maybe that should be generously speaking) for the whole of England, which Tit is inclined to pretend is his own personal domain. Of course when he’s off abroad on manoeuvres (with the assistance of Norwegians mainly) I would be in charge.

One of these days I might just cut off his supply lines :whatever:

I’m not sure I’m all that keen on the Scavenger Hunts idea, though I do know where you’re coming from, but apart from that, you certainly did find us and if you’re not careful you will find us with you on that boat next year.

You are certainly welcome to join my friends (in hosting me) and me, if my friends host me again next year. Even TIT can come if he wears a shirt to cover up during luncheon. If it turns out that there is a smell, then we can have a table set up on the outside deck and we can talk with sign language through the big windows.

With regards to “royal protocol” and who is first and who is second, you will have to leave at home. On my birthday, I AM KING, EMPEROR, AND THE DICTATOR.

You wouldn’t ask that question if you saw what comes through the doors at my gym. I have never seen so many fat (and I mean really) fat men and women in all my life. I have gone at various times of the day, but have never found a time when it was different.

I mentioned it to the girl at the reception desk and she said “whad-ja theenk wud be cheee-ear, yungk skeeny peoples?” Well, I guess the other members are asking the same about me! :dissap:

Well, yes I did think there would be some in shape people at the gym! But then, I go to a NYC run gym (brand new and has a great pool and all new equiptment). I was told all the goodlooking people are at the Vertical Club, or one of the other insanely expensive gyms in the City.

When I win the lottery, become better looking, and get in shape myself, I’ll move to one of them. ;)

NYSC has a lot of good looking folks.

Of course it’s a wee bit more expensive than the city gym.
