Exact opposite here. The closer I get to my goal size the less I care about reaching it.
I was fortunate enough to be a quick gainer a few years ago. But as a result I beame content and stopped PE after probably only 6 weeks. The initial motivation, like this time, was EQ and not size. I had serious size problems though because of EQ. Obviously when you are only half hard it’s not nearly as big. I quickly turned my EQ around and ended up looking quite a bit bigger as a result. Got in good with a girl and the sex was great and stopped the PE. Now two years later I was in a similar spot with bad EQ. This time however I’m extremely motivated and can’t imagine letting even more than a day or two go by without PE. Because I added nearly a half inch of girth now just since mid-November I’m extremely excited. I’ve also set a goal of 8 x 6 three years from this coming January. Even it takes ten that is the size I am going for. Basically I need gains of about 2 x 1 to get there.
I think being hungry and not satisfied is better than being comfortable.
I also think that being motivated helps alot but in hind sight I believe that one must believe that he will gain or the gains will not come. As Arnold did with his muscles he said you put your mind into them and imagine them getting bigger and it will happen. The power of a positive attitude goes a long way. “Hard gainers” on here often believe that they will never grow and I think this type of attitude strongly correlates with their lack of gains.
