Clamping 101 - The clamping guide

I remember this post from 15 years ago, which really got me started in the DIY device path. I wish I had pictures of what I made, which were modifications (improvements) of some stuff available here and online at the time.

I had jelqing, clamping and hanging incorporated at once, but ended up pulling something with the hanging and took a break. Those home depot clamps are excellent, just add some padding and get the right size so you get circular pressure, not just on the sides, you can adjust it how you like. I used good quality rubber and it helps if it has a pattern so it grips well during the clamp.

Are there cable clamps shipped from within EU. I can’t find.

It’s 2024, do we have cable clamp pro alternatives? I am not getting the clamp I am looking for after doing hand ULI’s for 5 months I am having trouble getting the same results with the cable clamp.

With many tries, I just can’t clamp. I don’t like the feeling. I am sticking with ULI’s (Hand clamps) until the hand grip loosens (1-2 min each rep), I do this between Jelq sessions 3-5 ULI’s still get’s me to around the 10 min max mark I would clamp for anyways, I just do them within my jelq routine and divided into 3-5.

In addition to ULI’s have found that water pumping gets me what I need with girth, EQ, and Length and I don’t feel the need to use a clamp. That is me, and your journey will be different. I don’t mean to distract others on this thread who are looking for the Clamping guide, but I just wanted others to note the alternatives and issues I had.

There is an air clamp called the python clamp. It’s a bit expensive and was a little tricky for me at the start but now that I’ve got the hang of it I really like using it. I only use it on my non-Trimix days since once you are above a certain girth you have to go in flaccid.

Part of my initial issue was getting the alignment correct when I added the optional second layer of tubing to make the compression more intense.

That is expensive but I ordered one. I really like clamping and with pumping it’s my favourite exercise for girth. With python clamp how is the pressure compared to cable clamp?

Sometimes I find it a hassle to put silicon sleeve under the cable clamp to prevent skin pinching and I believe that with python clamp it would be easier to clamp when I have morning wood. Something that I have never tried with cable clamps, just a thought makes my cock soft.

The pressure is more distributed than with a couple of cable clamps so it’s hard to compare. I think it can’t get quite as high but it isn’t far off and it’s much more comfortable. You definitely want to put in the extra sleeve for more compression force.

It might be tough to put on erect if you are thinking morning wood. The bore of the inflatable sleeves is fairly small even with vacuuming out the baseline air.

I can’t use it with Trimix sessions since I have to wiggle it through flaccid. Then you get erect with it in and inflate it.

My routine is: I get as hard as possible and have a tight clamp at the base, then one about half way up - or sometimes I’ll have them both at the base (as it keeps you hard for ages!). I’ll keep it on - and kegel - for about an hour. I usually do this twice a day.

So far, so good. I’ve had some gains - and I noticeably "feel" different. And thankfully, I’ve had none of the horror stories you sometimes hear about 🤞 - I’ve actually grown to quite like the feeling!

How long do you guys usually clamp for though? Would you consider an hour a good time - or is it too long?

if your procedure doesn’t cause you any problems I think you can proceed by always paying attention to the signals your cock sends you :) clamping puts a lot of stress and you can risk some injury.
When I started clamping, after reading up on the subject and especially on the advice of Houstonwoods, a very expert user, I recommend you read some of his teachings, I started with 5-minute sessions repeated three times to condition the penis to such stress, which is in fact relevant.
