An interesting size survey

Hi Luvdadus,
I never assumed that any of those averages you state were the norm. I’ve found that most all surveys are very unclear as to what constitutes a ‘bone pressed’ measurment- including this one (reading carefully the method expressed there).
My assumption is that the averages you note are a sort of hybrid bpel/nbpel because of the inability of those conducting these surveys to appropriately monitor the subjects when they measure themselves. I’d guess that a tightly controlled bpel survey would likely reveal averages higher than the ones seen here and elsewhere.

Gary Griffin does mention in his book that some men locked up in mental institutions that masterbate very frequently have usually well developed phallases.

Struggling with a peyronies injury during sex and loss of size after having been into PE.

Hmm, perhaps if i masturbated more as a kid I would of been indirectly PEing to a certain extent and had a bigger dick! :D

…some men locked up in mental institutions that masterbate very frequently have usually well developed phallases.

Naw, it’s just that retards have bigger dicks. God has to compensate somewhere, I guess.

Becoming.... Godsize

It also mentions in the book that these men have all the time in the world to do PE, and that the frequent masturbation is just a by-product of that.

just kidding ;)

…but gee, now that makes too much sense…!

Starting: 5 BPEL x 4.5 EG on 4/19/03

Does anyone know how they measured length in the Kinsey study?

I can’t seem to find the information on it but seem to remember reading somewhere that subjects were given a piece of card (like a postcard but bigger, I guess) to measure and mark their size on.

If this was the case then I’d have to assume that to sizes were NBP as you wouldn’t be able to bone press a piece of card that well.

I think the reason that the stats seem so low is because most of the people surveyed were 15 !!??!? I don’t know about you guys, but I know my dick grew a good bit since I was 15. However this said I’m still below average in girth……..dogh !!

Yeah…there’s alot of kids on there, but the size of 6.3” I quoted from that survey relates to aged 19+.

both sizesurvey.com and this survey have specific instructions to do bone pressed measurements for length and they got about the same results.

Many of the condom company surveys get a little smaller results and I presume that it is due to non bone pressed methodology,

Check it out guys, no need to have a big dick if you ain't gonna use it!!

Answered myself. lol.

The Kinsey Study into Average Penis Size

Possibly the largest scientific penis size survey to date was conducted by Alfred C. Kinsey in 1948. After gathering measurements from 3500 white college males, Kinsey and his associates concluded that the group's average erect penis length was 6.21 inches and average erect girth measured 4.85 inches. Over 65 percent of the group measured between 5.5 and 6.5 inches in erect length, and it was concluded that falling anywhere within these ranges could be considered 'average'.

In all cases, erect length measurements were taken along the top of the penile shaft, from the pubic bone to the tip of the penis and erect girth was measured around the middle of the shaft.

But like so many studies into penis size, the Kinsey survey suffered from one major drawback - the subjects measured themselves. The college students simply held postcards against their penises, marked off length on the card and posted the results back to the researchers.

There was no independent verification of the measurements taken, and as such it is impossible to know how accurate the measurements used in the study were. In fact, the results of more recent studies into penis size suggest that men tend to exaggerate their penis size when allowed to measure themselves, and this throws into doubt the accuracy of Kinsey's results.

However, Kinsey's study is important because of the sheer volume of participants. The more participants there are within a study, the less the results are effected by extremes. Because of this, men who reported extremely large or small penis measurements in Kinsey's survey did not significantly distort the overall average.

The Kinsey survey is still considered to be one of the most authoritative studies ever conducted into penis size. More recently however, condom manufacturers such as Durex and Lifestyles have also conducted their own research - mainly in an attempt to provide better fitting products.

“the Kinsey survey suffered from one major drawback - the subjects measured themselves”

The other flaw is that the volunteers know they are going to be measured!

If you were 3” would you take part in a survey. In the lifestyles I think 25%who did get the courage to volunteer backed out when they saw female nurses with rulers. I dont think the guys backing out were the hung guys.

I tend to would believe the smallest size from all the surveys which is 5.1” (real average is again probably less) in the ones I have seen, I think no guy will measure himself smaller by accident.

The "average size" is usually over-estimated. Small guys don't take part in surveys and big guys jump at the chance.

Girl claims she had a huge ex? Stick a spider in the bathroom or a mouse in the kitchen and when she comes out screaming ask her how big the spider/mouse was...

Men are obviously fools. If they were smart, they would understate their size when doing a survey. That way they would be more likely to be “above average”. :D

Luv-
Below is an exerpt of the instructions from this “JackinWorld” survey:

>With a rigid ruler handy, get a full erection. Lay the ruler along the top of your penis, and press the end of the ruler firmly against your body (where the pubic hair is). <

Nowhere does it instruct people to push the ruler firmly against the pubic bone. A big enough percentage of participants could have read this to mean “press ruler against the skin - or pubic hair” that these results just don’t qualify as “bone-pressed”.

And this from SizeSurvey:
>Five of the following questions pertain to penis size and require the use of a tape measure. <
(They then go on to show an illustration of a tape measure being used to determine BPEL)

A tape measure being pressed firmly against the pubic bone?

Slams’ post on Kinsey speaks for itself.

I’ll stick with my earlier post..Though I would rather you were right; that would make a lot of us above average and we could all live happily ever after :)

I know we all do PE, but sometimes I find the idea that 5” EL is average, hard to believe.

If this board is anything to go by, even pre-pe, I don’t think I’ve heard more than one or two people saying they have less than a five incher.

I know you would be less inclined to post if you have a smaller dick but this place is confidential and a site about growing your dick.

For five inches to be average that means you are going to need just as much people having under 5 inches as over 5 inches.

Excellent and devious thinking MDC!
