Update - solved jelq erection problem, but need routine advice

Hello fellow dick warriors

I’ve written previously about ED/EQ issues, multiple sclerosis, capricious libido and whatnot. Most recently I posted about problems keeping or achieving a suitable erection level for jelqing purposes.

I seem to have solved the jelq erections issue, not with anything fancy but with the most obvious of methods: staying sufficiently turned on (yeah, revolutionary, I know). I’ve improved my focus through practice, and I think this breakthrough could prove invaluable in aiding my efforts to solve some aspects of my performance anxieties.

Anyway, now that I have some familiarity with the n00bite routine, I’d quite like to ask for some advice on one matter:

I’ve read the jelqing guide in depth, and I noticed it recommends varying your grip (standard, overhand etc) within single sessions. Now, I’ve really only just got to grips (har har) with getting any sort of jelqing done at all, and I find the standard grip very natural and easy to perform. On the other hand, for some reason the overhand grip just feels “odd”. Changing grip also makes me become a bit uneasy and anxious about losing arousal. My question is, how important is it to change between grips within a session? Am I getting into dodgy territory by simply focusing on the standard grip for the time being, until I’m comfortable enough to tackle the overhand variation?

The overhand grip is a really good grip to get used to. It helps when your erection is flagging a little, allowing you to carry on jelqing, rather than stopping to recover. It does stress the penis differently, encourages you to put stress on the sides and you can add a certain amount of stretching into each stroke.

However, if what you are doing now is working for you and you are gaining then stick with it.

I’m probably being dumb, but how/why is it that it enables you to carry on?

I’m going to try to figure it out. I just struggle with seeing how to apply enough pressure with the hand turned the other way round.

Because by pushing your penis down you distort the base pushing a little more blood up the shaft and possibly making it a little harder for blood to leave. Apply pressure to the sides, it’s basically a thumb and finger pinch with the soft area between thumb and forefinger acting as a part of the grip.

Thank you, that’s very helpful.

One other question concerning where I’m at presently in my routine. For a number of reasons, I’ve been doing it Monday Tuesday on, Wednesday off, Thurs-Fri on, then whole weekend off. At the risk of sounding neurotic, would having whole weekends off lead to less progress over time? Or is it not so cut and dry, as in, it may be helpful in some cases to have a 4/7 days frequency as opposed to 5/7?

I hate neurotic sorts of questions and generally would avoid such things. I’m just very very new to all this.
