Stretching grip

Stretching grip

I just started stretching about a week ago and am wondering if I am doing it right. My current grip is basically grabbing the head with 4th and 5th fingers mostly and just below the head with my 1st finger, 2nd finger, and thumb (really the 2nd/middle finger is right on the bottom edge of head rather than being completely on shaft — it’s sort of wedged in between the two so it’s equally on both). It hurts considerably when I pull hard enough to feel like really doing any kind of decent stretching. It’s probably normal, but I’m just curious whether or not I am doing it right and/or whether or not others felt discomfort in the beginning that went away. I’ve noticed that many people talk about pulling harder than than arm-strength alone with positions that let them use their shoulder strength too etc. However, I feel that I am not using nearly my arm strength, that limiting factor is pain where grip at bottom of head.

Hey vkn1, I believe I have read that you should not grip the head when stretching. It could cause damage to nerves. The link below gives instructions on exercises.

I miss this place.

Well I’m not really gripping the head just wrapping the fingers around it because that’s what’s natural much like in the video. I am really to the pulling from just below the head. It hurts quite a lot though. I’m wondering if this hurting is going to go away quickly or what?

Vkn1, it sounds like you might be gripping too tight with your 2nd/middle and ring finger. When you’re doing that grip, the head of your penis should be lightly cupped inside your palm. Your thumb and index finger form a very tight O grip around the shaft, but the rest of your hand should be relatively relaxed.

Practice a little by trying that tight O grip further down the shaft towards the base, and then work back up the shaft to find a comfortable grip position that works for you. You should soon be able to do a very strong stretch without unduly hurting your glans.

You also may have too much blood in your (dick) head when you stretch. Make that tight O grip, then relax it for a moment and use the rest of your fingers to squeeze the glans, flushing out most of the blood. You’ll feel the head get much smaller. Now cinch the index and thumb into a tight O grip again as you relax your other fingers, and stretch. It might take some practice, but soon you’ll do it automatically.

When I grip closer to base the skin just moves and I can’t get grip on penis itself — the stretch ends up being a skin stretching exercise (that looks like would only cause turkey neck) rather than a penis stretching exercise. It seem the only place I can get a solid hold is just below the head with my skin pulled back. I am uncircumcised. Is this a problem for lots of uncircumcised members?

Am newbie and uncut just like you, took 2 weeks to get good grip, but now staying inside hot bath tub while stretching solves my problems. I don’t understand the theory, but hot water makes better grip, I tried with hot shower while stretch, it grips well too.
I have more skin downside, the biggest problem I had was when I pulled back the skin, I pulled mostly the upper part, I forgot to pull more the lower part, and it slips easily because there lot of skin just under my head. Now when I pull, I always make sure I pull all sides.
Do you notice the connecting skin between thumb and index gives some problem?

Hmmm interesting. When I did my A-Stretches, I’d end up gripping the corona of my glans with my 1st and 2nd fingers (index and middle), and I’d end up chaffing/scratching/irritating my glans corona. To the point where skin would peel and be sore. I may have to re-adjust my stretching grip. Awesome thread guys!

Let me get this straight. Don’t grip behind the glans, it is bad for the nerves. So it is best to grip further down the shaft towards the base?

Just grab behind the glans. It would be bad for the nerves when you grab the glans itself to stretch.

I grip using my index/pointer, middle, and ring fingers gripping just behind the glans- while my pinky finger is over the glans but not squeezing it- more like a stabilizer if anything.

The exact same thing happens to me, I think it’s normal. You can’t actually grip the shaft because the skin will just slide your hand down to the corona just under the glans where the glans edge provides some resistance, just don’t grip on the glans itself. Sometimes I want to stretch from the shaft but it requires some technique. I get some blood in the penis, maybe 5-10% erect, then I basically get a jelq grip at the base and push up to the mid shaft, the grip must be very hard. Now instead of using the head as the resistance you can use the trapped blood as a resistance to stretch. The difference from these stretches is pretty big. But I don’t know if you can do this, because I have a slight baseball bat form that definitely helps me do this stretch.

Hi guys, I am circumcised and still have the same problem so I don’t think that being uncircumcised is an added hindrance.
