Rest days and sex.

On rest days, would you guys recommend to not have sex/masturbate.

I’m always horny, wondering if I should engage in any sexual activity during a rest day.

Why not?

I am starting to think that simply having erections makes your penis grow. The longer they last, the better up to a certain point, like an hour.

Otherwise, why would clamping work? (I don’t clamp).

I will never turn down sex, it is why I PE.

There are many reasons not to have sex.

PE, however, is not one of them.

Clamping stops outward blood-flow (veins) while allowing internal blood-flow (arteries) - hence the pressure from clamping far exceeds what is present in an erection. If an erection was the same as clamping (and was indeed PE) we would all be hung like Elephants, no?

You have to be kidding, Right. Do not let PE hinder what you normally do.

One thing I have noticed though, is that if I abstain (I’m pretty sure that’s the right spelling/word to use) from masturbation/sex for about 5-7 days, when I do get that erection going, it’s plenty larger (I’d say roughly .25 of an inch) and harder (near 100% awesome, crazy, I can hit a nail with this thing).

But one thing I find abstaining does is make me pretty darn sensitive, so I go past the point of no return pretty quickly. That might just be me, since a week with no fun gets Willy all excited and ahead of himself.

In closing, do whatever you want. There has been no concrete evidence that abstaining = better gains. There have been results where some research said that a few males gained some large amount, like 3 inches or something, and 66% of those males only masturbated once a month or never. That may be true, but 3 inches is too long for me anyway.

Plenty of people have gained 1-2 inches on this site whilst masturbating and having a sex life (be it a common one or a rare one).

There was one study done where abstaining did, in fact, help with gains. It was some long-term survey thing and I’ve forgotten who did it.

However the additional gains were so marginal they barely registered on the survey. Many of the more experienced here feel that the benefit to abstain is so negligible as to be just about worthless; and the younger you are the more worthless it appears to be. There does seem to be an argument for “saving the seed” as one get older (35 +), but that’s based on other things, not gaining, and even that is disputed.

Regardless of any of these theories, I just think that if you are putting PE ahead of your sex life you are putting the cart before the horse. Life is short. If you have the opportunity to get down, why not take it? If there are no legal, moral, or aesthetic reasons against getting busy - get busy.

PE is cool and all, but don’t confuse your priorities.

I did not explain my reasoning as I thought it was readily apparent.

Exactly, the pressure from clamping far exceeds what is present in an erection, and there is at least some increase in pressure during an erection. So the “reason clamping works” is because of the greatly increased pressure. I am starting to think that the increase in pressure during an erection, however much less than from clamping, is beneficial especially if done for an extended amount of time, like 20 minutes or more.

Increased pressure is the mechanism at work with clamping, and an erection is a time period of increased pressure, albeit a much, much lower pressure. Add an increased amount of time to the equation, say an erection lasting 4 times the amount of time one would normally clamp, and a sustained erection may start to provide some of the benefits of clamping, at the very least to a much lesser degree.

If pumping, clamping, and ADS work, then there has to be at least a small benefit to prolonged, high level erections, as they all make and keep the tissues stretched out for a time period.

It could be that maintaining prolonged erections could be one way to get in shape before starting to clamp.
