Interesting phenomenon

I was just masturbating with a condom on (a magnum to be exact.) My penis always looks bigger when I have one on so I grabbed the tape measure out of curiosity. I measured 5.33 eg, whereas I’m normally 5.25. Is the condom acting like a clamp and making me girthier? Or is the measurement thrown off by the thickness of the condom plus the thickness of the tape measure (the tape is not thick, its a standard one, barely a mm thick I think.

A swing of less than a 10th of an inch … particularly in girth, is hard to attribute to a specific factor. A change that small could be any number of things.

That said, I would be surprised if a condom could apply enough compressive force to have a clamping effect

I imagine a condom could quite easily add 0.08 inches of thickness, that sounds very reasonable.

The other thing that you could be experiencing is that it turns you on to a better erection. Do you like the look of it in a wrapper? I really don’t think a condom is .04" thick. At 4 mils you are looking at some heavy armour.

.04” is only 1 mm not 4, which doesn’t sound too unlikely.

I’m sorry! 4 mils in the U.S. is 0.004” or 4 thousandths of an inch. I missed the decimal place. A millimeter seems thick to me when none of the condoms that I used are that thick. Maybe 0.020”.

Even more weird in the UK - we use lots of metric measurements, but still use miles and MPH etc. as well. :)

I don’t know that you would be able to ‘see’ that small a difference in size. It may be worth keeping a record of measurements with and without a condom to see if it happens every time. The thickness of the condom will make a tiny difference, and there may be a slight clamping effect, but for most guys I would have thought a condom would cause some compression and a reduced measurement!

I did it again and still got 5.33. I’m a full 1/8 of an inch girthier with a condom on.
