Hi all,

I’m fairly new to PE, just started on April 15, 2020. I’m about 41 years. I am primarily using a pump 5 to 6 days a week VERY CONSISTENTLY. I do 3 x 5 minute sessions at 5hg, and I’ve recently started stretching exercises, pulling straight out, up, left, right and down 1 minute each once or twice a day. When I started in April, my baseline measurement was 4 inches MSEG, and 5.5 inches BPEL. By the middle of July I had grown to 4.75 inches MSEG and 6 inches BPEL, which was great! However, one month later I haven’t really grown at all. What I am hoping you could tell me is:
1. Is it normal to make so much gain and then abruptly stop gaining?
2. Is there anything I should be doing to gain that I’m not doing already?
3. How often should I be seeing improvement?

You have hit a plateau, that’s common. Try to change your routine by doing just pumping, or just stretching, or stretching and jelqing, or lite hanging, or extending. As long as your EQ and morning wood are good, you won’t be needing a long break. Try something new and give it some time - months, and you will get back on track. Good luck

That’s incredible gains for such a short amount of time. I’m also new to PE (started in July), but I would recommend reading this if you haven’t already: Advice I wish someone had given me when I first started.


Current ---> BPEL/EG: 15x12cm (12/2020)

Short term goal ---> BPEL/EG: 17x14cm

Those are your newbie gains. Everything slows down after that. Once you stop gaining, it’s time to switch things up. Keep in mind that doesn’t have to mean ramping up intensity. Just adding a different excersise, or adding time to your current exercises could be enough to start gaining again. Remember, PE is a marathon, not a sprint.

As a newbie, improvements could happen in a month or two gap.

Implement jelqs or increase the duration of your routine are ideas to try out.

Whoa to be 41 and already seen such gains is inspiring. I’m curious about your pump. What kind is it?
I bought the hydromax7 recently but I think I want something with a gauge.

It’s an LA pump with the gauge. I started off the Hydro max as well, but it’s much easier to find time to air pump then to have to get into the shower. I am a married man living with my four-year-old, wife and in laws. It’s much easier to dry pump. I highly recommend it and it’s where I found most of my gains.

Thanks for the inspiration! I tried adding time but five minutes seems to be what works well for me. Maybe I’ll try three rounds of 7 1/2 minutes and see what happens.

Thanks! I was considering trying Phallosan Forte.. Any opinion on that?

You’re actually right on track, complete with the initial spurt and the subsequent six-month-later puzzlement. Nothing to worry about. But those straight-direction (or left / right) stretches go nowhere, as least for me. I’d add a fulcrum in there. Keep up the great work!

Yes, but more like a stationary object, not your finger or wrist.
