I discovered this site about 1 week ago and have read it like crazy. Do you think the measurements that we always hear about like the Lifestyles study done in cancun Bone pressed or not? I’m learning all the lingo and bone pressed sure helps out so I hope that is the case. I need girth more than anything right now. I have only done about 100 jelq’s so far so I doubt I have had any gains. as of


bpel 7 7/16 inches
eg 4.5 or 4 5/8
el 6 3/4

I’ll keep you posted on my gains. I’m scared to do anything other than jelq and even doing that I’m scared of doing it too hard so I’m not sure I will see nay gains at all with the intensity I’m using. I’m going to take it slow and try to figure it all out

Now the actual answer:
Well no, I don’t think those studies were done bone pressed.. In any case people on TP tend to bone pressed measurements, not to compare their size with others (well mostly ;) ), but to check for their personal gains.
In short: Just measure the same time way everytime and you will have a good tool to help finding the exercises that work best for you :)

About jelqs et al:
Generally there is no need to be scared really.. unless you are pressing the CS (below your penis leading to the head), of course.
This can damage the nerves (important for feeling anything in/on the glans and shaft), if done very improperly, permanently.
So you make sure you don’t damage your nerves down there.

Being scared to do the exercises too hard actually is a good thing IMO.
Quite some people (me included) tried too hard because they didn’t know any better and quickly found out by injuries (some severe, some less severe).

In other words:
Listen to your body.
Do not think that something working for <insertnicknamehere> in wonderous way will work exactly the same way for you.
Rather find out what exercise in what intensity and repetitions works best for you and your body.

Let common sense do the thinking.

If you are trying out a new exercise (or a known exercise with eg. more pressure or repetitions) check the indicators to your penile fitness:

If it looks like you are doing something wrong you often are.. Simple as that :)

How young are you? Enough that you may still grow more naturally, or is that your final, adult girth? Do you perhaps have an erection or circulation problem that might prevent your erection from being as full as possible? Yes, that girth is slightly below average, but certainly nothing that can’t be overcome. I think there are examples in the Progress section (I’m think YGuy may be an example) who have made really good girth gains. Keep at it like you’re doing now, easy at first then when you’re comfortable you can increase the intensity a little.

unfortunately, I’m 29 years old. I’m naturally long and lean everywhere so I guess it make sense that my pecker is not that fat. I’ve been doing some light jelqing but after watching the how to video on here its obvious I’m not intense enough, but it kinda hurts my vein running down the side from squeezing and pulling and I’m doing it pretty light…maybe I’m just new to it and that is why?

If you vein hurts from jelqing you are doing it wrong.. Simply as this.
Same if your CS (or more specifically: your urethray and/or nerves alongside it) hurts from jelqing.

How erect are you when you are jelqing? Don’t try to do it when you are too erect, a partial is the best way to go. Describe “kinda hurts”. Is it a noticeable pain, or is it more just uncomfortable?

Big vein down the left part of the shaft seems to hurt. I wouldnt say painful but uncomfortable. I think it’s kind of in my mind too because the vein is so noticeable and gets a liitle larger when jelqing. I just can’t help but worry about that big vein bursting or something! I would say I’m 50% erect? It may not be the vein at all that is causing a little discomfort. I’m just too new at this to really know. I have jelqed 3 times total since last week and no gains at all!!!

Does the pain (discomfort) last after you have finished jelqing? Does your flacid hang “turtle” throughout the rest of the day? I have a feeling that you are just getting used to the exercises. If you are only 50% erect when jelqing and not squeezing real hard don’t worry about bursting anything.

Being cautious is a good thing. It keeps you from injuring yourself. Just take it slow until you and your buddy are used to the exercises. There is a mental readiness you have to achieve as well as a physical one IMHO. Messing with your unit is not something to be taken lightly. In that respect you are one up on a lot of newbie’s. I would not say it turtles back after jelqing but I did measure yesterday after the 3rd time and it seemed to be just a hair smaller than when i started 1 week ago. Is that possible?

Some minor turtling after a routine isn’t all that uncommon. How is it throughout the day? FH is a strange beast because it fluctuates so much, but if you are experiencing a shorter FH all day then I would say you either need to cut back on the time or frequency of your routine (ie instead of doing 20 minutes do 15 minutes, or instead of doing 3on/1off try 2on/1off or every other) I started by doing 20 minutes on a 3on/1off schedule and quickly realized I had to cut back to 15 minutes on a 2on/1off schedule. You may be realizing the same thing. Read the PI thread which is refferenced in my signature. It may shed some light on your situation.



I started jelqing about 10 days ago….have jelqued 4 or 5 times maybe. I’m not really hurting anymore so that is good. Most i have done is 10 minute sessions.

Have not measured again but it seems like it may be slightly bigger in the morning and at nigh when it gets to free hang for a while in my boxers..propbably just a mind trick
