Girth Work - Warm-down or Cool Down

Hi All,

Apologies if a thread for this already exists however I couldn’t find one relating specifically for girth work. Currently, my routine is the following:

10mins AM clamping followed by 5 minutes bathmate with ice at 70-80% pump.
10mins PM clamping followed by 5 minutes bathmate with ice at 70-80% pump.

I have seen mixed responses on whether to use heat or ice pertaining to length work however minimal with respect to girth.

Could you advise on whether you think I should use heat post girth work?

If I’m not mistaken, warmth keeps the tissue expanded while cold does the opposite. Therefore I would think warmth would be optimal to keep it in an expanded state. Might be completely wrong, but that’s my understanding.

Always remember what happens when you jump into a cold pool.


Initial: 7” BPEL; 6” NBPEL; 5.25” - 5.5” MEG

Current: 7-7/8” BPEL; 7-3/8” NBPEL; 8.5” BPFSL; 6.5” MEG; 6”x5” Flaccid.

Goal: Improved/consistent EQ while managing ED. Secondary: maintain current stats.

When hypertrophy or hyperplasia are the target, Ice baths are a less than net-beneficial recovery modality for anything other than objective injury - I don’t see a need to apply cold compress after girth work. I never have felt compelled to do so myself.


2012-ish: ~5.75in BPEL/4.75in MSEG

2021: 184mm/7.26in BPEL; 175mm/6.9in BPFSL; 135mm/5.3in MSEG; 138mm/5.4in BSEG

I agree and understand what you’re saying but surely this is a different scenario. I would have thought that pumping under a vacuum with ice forces your penis to remain extended and engorged, as opposed to simply submerging yourself in cold water. You arent allowing your penis to retract. Thoughts?

I dont understand your interest in using ice. Ice is used post athletic work out to reduce swelling from injury. Heat is used to improve blood flow and increase tissue elasticity. PE theory for post work PE out is to stay in an enlarged state as long as you can, allowing the penile tissues to heal in an enlarged state.

I think adding ice while vaccum pumping is either going to be ineffective or lead to an injury. The vaccum is pulling fluid into the penis and the cold is causing the tissue to retract.

Honestly, just to clear up a misconception that I clearly had but I genuinely appreciate you’re input. So going forward, heat and heat alone. Thank you very much!
