Fitting Cock Ring

Fitting Cock Ring

I was looking to get a solid cock ring to mess around with prolonging the after-session engorgement, but I don’t understand what size I would get.

I was reading online and they say to measure under the girth around the penis and scrotum and divide by 3.1 for you size, but that’s going to result in a ring with a diameter of roughly the same as your unit. My measurement is 8.25” girth and a diameter of 2.62”.

So what size would I go with? I’ve heard people speak of using 1.5” and that seems tight to me. You can see in my sig I’m not particularly well endowed. I’m a little confused. Do they really constrict that much? Does my penis+scrotum measure oddly large at the base?

Yes you are. You’re nearly 7” long which is definitely above average. Some guys have 4” girth, you’re over 5”.

As mentioned in one of the sites about measuring for a cock ring below (found using Google), you should measure flaccid and erect two or three times and take an average. A diameter of cock + balls of 8.25” is certainly larger than one would expect for a penis girth of 5.25”. I can only guess that some kind of measurement error may have occurred.

The cockring is intended to come into play when you’re fully erect. It will be very loose when you’re flaccid.

I’d suggest you wrap a piece of string or cord around your entire package when you’re fully hard. Not loose, but not cutting off circulation either. Then measure how long that string is, and divide by 3.14159, and that gives you the diameter.

To check this, if you have a good hardware store nearby, you can pick up two or three rubber o-rings with inside diameters (ID) about the size you measured. You want to use the largest one that still gives you a bit of constriction. Actually, you may find that the o-rings work well for you, and you don’t need a metal ring.

Around 2 inches to 2.25 inches diameter usually works for most men.

Hate to break it to you: You are well endowed.

I used the ChuckR method to figure out my size. 1.5 is going to be tight for you I think. I would pick up a 1.75, 2.00 and 2.25 to try out.

Just wanted to say throw out the O-rings one you have sized, there is some question about whether the rubber used is safe for cock ring use.

West's links are excellent too.

I have ED as a result of diabetes. When not injecting, I need to use a tight cock ring to maintain my erections. My MSEG is 4.9” and I use a 1.25” metal cock ring which is not always tight enough. I would recommend trying a 1.5” ring for your size which will fit tight and require a lot of lube to slide it on and off, but it may be what you need to maintain a hard erection. It will also need to be removed every 20 minutes to maintain circulation and prevent numbness.

If you are willing to spend $25, including shipping,to get a top quality, long lasting hard silicone cock ring, check out the Osbon Erectaid ring. I use the “D” -medium, high tension which works every time. You should consider the “B” large, high tension ring.

I have been using mine several times a week for about six months without a failure and highly recommend it. Does require lube and removal every 20 minutes.

Thanks for the input guys.

And as for the measurement, I’ve measured a dozen times today under different erection/heat conditions using a piece of dental floss and I’ve consistently come up with same number, a smidge under 8.25 Flaccid, a smidge over 8.25 erect.

Trouble with fixed cock ring sizes is that your penis will expand or constrict over time and can fall off if it’s not sized right or you’re in between sizes. Often this happened to me after stressful times or too much caffeine. You do have a few options out there to keep your pump going.

Most the time I use silicone cock rings from time to time after pe, but the trouble is they wear out fast and never last longer than a few weeks. Even then they can get uncomfortable and pinch pubic hairs or snap suddenly and without warning.

The Divocup I bought a while back works to keep my flaccid bigger for a few hours and wasn’t too expensive. Although I have trouble keeping it on when in times of stress and have had it bounce off the ground in public a few times. It also takes a little sandpaper to wear down the rough edges.

Clamps work well but can be bulky and uncomfortable unless you mod them enough. I use a long strip of ShamWOW for this and have to keep my erection pointed up or else the hinge will dig into my scrotum. You can use the waist band from your under ware for this to cushion the pressure.

I have seen a few different cock ring products I wanted to try like Horseshoe Cock Ring | Best Cockring, Penis Ring, Erection Ring | My Hard Wear
though for $60-$70 it’s a bit much. I am considering ordering one later and using it for ADC later but I can’t find any reviews yet.

I have a stainless steel cock ring measuring 2” inside diameter & is made from 3/8” thick rod & welded at the join. Over the years I have tried silver, tarnishes & leaves a stain around your cock, also plastic, tends to a bit sharp in some cases, also ordinary steel, tends to rust & get pitted, also rubber, can pull hairs & tends to grip the skin too tightly.

I bought this one at a ships chandlers & it is marine grade stainless steel. You do need to know what size you need & always quote the inside diameter. It you buy one that is too tight you will find that once you have it on & you get an erection it can be very difficult to get your erection to go down so you can remove it, so do take care.

Can you point me to information on that? I haven’t seen anything that suggests the rubber o-rings would be a problem.

Well here is my reasoning on that.

My last purchased cockring advertised it self as 100% silicone, phthalate free.

I am also seeing lots of talk on the internet about how sex toys need to be free of phthalates as you can absorb it thru the skin.

Here is the wikipedia article on Phthalate.

Phthalate - Wikipedia

So my thinking is that I have no idea whether the hardware O-rings contain phthalates or not, as their is no labeling requirement for them. So better safe than sorry.

Looks good! Like jewelry…

I got a thick chrome one from picture bright a year ago. They have pretty good prices on the thicker metal rings, starting about this page:
