I’m completely new to PE, I’ve only been through three sessions of the newbie routine so far although I’ve being doing a lot of reading. It seems ridiculous to start without doing that first.

Anyway, I’m hoping someone can allay some worries of mine. I’m not sure how to go about searching the forum for this one.

I’ve been finding when doing jelqs that during erection the base of my penis feels almost completely flaccid, even when I’m up to about an 80/90% erection. Because of this I reach kind of a speed bump about a finger width up and then it’s about the same erection level throughout after that. I can grab my penis at the base and move it around with relative ease. Is this a normal thing to happen or is something wrong with me?

Any thoughts or ideas would be really appreciated.

I’m definitely not the best person to answer this, so I’ll just start things off and let others add on or disagree. I’m assuming that the base of your penis is less hard and/or thinner than the rest of your penis when erect, not just with jelqing, but in general. If I’m mistaken, please clarify.

Some men have less girth at their base, and this makes the erection a little “flimsy.” This is as normal as some men having broad bases but smaller heads. My recommendation is to continue the newbie routine for 2-3 months and then consider hanging as a base girth gainer. You may wish to search “girth” and “base” together for much more information.

There is also the possibility that you have circulation problems at the base of your penis, but I wouldn’t worry much about that for now. Just doing the jelqs will help with your overall erection health and may help address this naturally. Be sure you’re jelqing from the absolute base of your dick and that you don’t avoid the base because of this. Don’t worry about the speed bump feeling.

I don’t have any issues with girth or the baseball bat thing that other posters have talked about, actually if I can grow some and keep my overall shape I’ll be really happy. It’s just simply more flimsy at the base, yeah. Your advice seems pretty spot on anyway, just stick with the newbie routine and see how things work out and then have a go at hanging later, see how that works out.

Fallout, I had a similar problem like you, and the only thing that helped me was the amazing isometrics excercise.

Do a search, and see the difference after as much as a week!
