I’m not sure if I’m spelling it right, but I’ve read in some threads that caffeine isn’t a good substance and can sometimes is specifically mentioned in diets like ” eats healthy, never has caffeine”. I’m just curious if caffeine is bad because I drink a lot of it in pre-workouts. It is also in coffee so I’m sure a lot of other members have large intakes, any input would be appreciated.

I have what I would call a huge intake of caffeine daily probably around 800-1000mg.

It is funny that this thread came up because I am planning on quiting the stuff on Monday. Caffeine can be good and bad depending on how it is used. For training it is useful to help you loose weight however it becomes ineffective if your body is used to it. This is actually how I came to consume so much, I started drinking it to help me loose weight but it soon became a bad habit.

I have also read that drinking caffeine on a daily bases can actually be bad for you weight stopping you effective elimination of toxic fat accumulation substances. I have not seen any proof of it but I do know I was alot leaner when I was not drinking caffeine to when I was.

In the end drinking caffeine pre-work out helps but if you are already a caffeine drinker it is negligible.

Caffeine actually works to constrict blood vessels, so for an organ like your cock that depends on having maximum blood flow, it stands to reason that too much caffeine is counter productive to your PE goals.

I have been drinking coffee and colas for years and although I had contemplated giving it up, I had convinced myself I couldn’t live without caffeine. Well, recently, due to other circumstances concerning my health I decided it was in my best interests to eliminate caffeine altogether from my diet. I switched to decaffeinated coffee and stopped the colas. I thought I was going to have a lot of trouble, especially waking up in the morning and staying awake throughout the day without my periodic coffee breaks, but you know what happened? I find I feel much better now without the caffeine and actually am more alert in the morning and throughout the day without any caffeine in my system. I used to have a lot of anxiety and that is now completely gone too.

So, if you think you can’t give up caffeine because you depend on it so much to keep you alert, I think you should seriously consider giving it up. If your experience is anything like mine, you will find yourself more alert and feeling better than ever. You might even end up with a better flaccid hang and larger erection too. :)

A little warning though. Since you consume so much, you might want to taper off gradually as going cold turkey might lead to some caffeine withdrawal symptoms like headaches. Once you have finally quit the stuff, you won’t miss it at all. You will probably be glad you did.


The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

I have been drinking tea mainly since I was 11 (25 now). I gave up for several days before and noticed withing a day or two my sleep was a lot better, i’ve heard others say this also. As of last week I don’t drink any caffeine an hour or so before and after a workout, preferably more.

Interesting reply there gprent may well try cutting it out soon also although I will say I gave up smoking 5 years ago, give up drinking for 6 months once but giving up morning caffeine would be the one i’d have most trepidaton about!


Currently 6.5 NBP 5.5EG.

I only get turtled flaccid if I drink too much caffeine. 3-4 cups a day isn’t doing any harm, I have been many weeks without coffee and didn’t notice anything. I also don’t drink caffeine 6-8h before I go to sleep.

I gave up caffeine on the advice of a friend a while ago and noticed a huge difference in my ability to sleep peacefully, my energy throughout the day and my general anxiety levels. I was very consistent in my PE at that time too (maybe just from being in a better state of mind) but I can say my flaccid hang was definitely more impressive and I think I had better EQ too. Whether that was from being off the caffeine or being more focused on PE, I don’t know. I gave up for about 4 months and for some reason am now back on the coffee. My sleep patterns have gone haywire again and anxiety is back. My body is saying give it up, so I suppose I should. That coffee hit in the morning does do the trick though!

Just go to decaf. You can still enjoy your morning coffee and go back to feeling good with no anxiety.

Yeah, I know. You’re absolutely right. I was on the decaf before and all was fine. I’m kind of twitching out at the moment and I can’t pretend it’s a good feeling!

Thanks Lamp, very interesting. I’m on week 3 (I think) of caffeine freedom. My problem with coffee and soda is that I can’t just have a couple of cups. I would have a pot before breakfast, then go to work and drink coffee all day long. Or when I was drinking sodas I would drink a 2-liter of Mountain Dew at work and then go home and drink it right up until I went to sleep. Caffeine just never kept me awake, probably because I built such a high tolerance to it over the years.

Now, I drink water almost exclusively, several hundred ounces a day. 4-5 days a week I allow myself 8-12 ounces of something else, like caffeine free soda or decaf iced tea. I’ve always been a heavy sleeper and am pretty laid back overall, so I can’t say I’ve seen a huge difference in alertness or concentration. I did go through severe withdrawal though, especially headaches, so I know there has been some change to my body.

Thunder - can you expand on that? Are you saying that a single cup of coffee now has effects on you?

Caffeine is okay. 1 cup a day. Pills? No good unless you plan to pay for it later

I can believe that, especially given the crazy amount I used to consume. So far, total avoidance has worked pretty well for me, so I’ll see how long I can keep that up.
