My routine is 500 wet jelqs, 5 days on, two days off. Should I cut down on the days? Or the amount of jelqs? Or both?

I feel like I would probably heal and grow more if I cut it down to three or two days on and one off. Plus I have heard the number of jelqs is probably too much (even for me as a noob) So can anyone help me? Does anyone have other routines that can help me grow faster, or more efficient?

What are your PI’s like? I personally never count strokes. I jelq around 2 seconds tempo, very firm grip (OK),wet at around 60% for 15 to 20 minutes every other day or so. I always pre-warm soak in moderately hot (warm) water and post warm for about the same amount of time. My opinion, 5 on is a bit much, especially if you are not well conditioned. Over working is worse than working too little. Rest time is critical to recovery and growth. What is your jelq like ie; grip,tempo,wet/dry, etc?

If you are working off of the newbie routine, (which is highly advised you do), you are WAAAYY over training. At most, you should be 3 days on and 1 day off. But, 2 on and 1 off is better as a newb.

I am like 9 - inch, in that I don’t count generally count strokes either. Quality 2 to 3 seconds rep/strokes are the best way to go. Once your unit looks good and plump, with a nice flaccid hang, stretch a little bit, and be done with it. It’s better to under train than over train.

I use a moderate grip. (Not too hard but not too loose). My average jelq is like 2-3 seconds. I hardly do dry, but my routine is basically based on Wet. The whole session usually lasts 20-30 Minutes. My erections are usually in the 50-60% percent range. I sometimes start off in a low percentage though. I sometimes warm up/cool down with a hot towel, 3 out of the 5 days mostly.

I would trim the days to every other, do a good pre-soak and post and just do 15 minutes. Keep an eye on the PI’s and go by what your body is telling you. Is girth your primary goal? Jelqing is different for everyone really. You just have to find your sweet spot so to speak. Over training will frustrate you and lead to injury.

My erection quality has never been as consistent when on a routine, and I’ve still made good gains. And when I quit, my hardons are just as frequent as they were before I started.

People seem to think that negative PI’s are a reason to slow down. I never have. In fact, I don’t think it’s really even possible to overtrain, unless you’re practically trying to injure yourself

I’m actually going for length. (Ill target girth later.or should I try to to both at the same time?)
I’m going to try out a new routine for alittle while.

5-10 min warm up
5-10 min stretching.
15-20 min jelqing (250)
5-10 min cool down

2 days on/1 day off.

You gotta follow your dick, so to speak. For me 5 days on, 2 off is fine. For you it could be another story. Here’s how you tell. Your dick is rock hard in the morning, good wood, max erection power=you’re not overtraining. Your dick feels hard yet small, does not get to max erection, doesn’t feel like a girthy monster, kinda hurts=you’re overtraining. I know it is tempting to step up when you feel gains coming on, and it is only natural to go with them. As hard as it may seem, take those days off and just wait till you start again. Those rest days are worth it. Means you can come back STRONGER. Also, during rest days, do light stretches and kegels. It’ll keep you in shape.
